On some vehicles, sometimes the shift knob will rotate from park without pressing the brake first. It won't actually shift, but it will spit out an error code and you could see a wrench icon and a service vehicle soon error message. Seems like sometimes the locking mechanism fails to actuate properly. A GSM module update is available that may fix this issue on some vehicles, however if the GSM is marked with a 1, 2, or 3 per below it needs to be replaced when encountering this error. SSM 51057 was previously released for this issue, this TSB now directs GSM replacement in some cases. A reminder the GSM is not able to be updated OTA, this must be done via dealer programming (FDRS).
