We've had out Mach e GT about 5 months, and so far are very happy. We are thinking of our first longer trip - up till now it has largely been around town and charging at home. Only public charging has been on a few trips to Phoenix (120 miles, but you drive fast, so round trip won't make it on a single charge.

We are thinking of taking the MME to Vegas, 450 miles each way, so multiple stops needed. Does anyone know 1) when the fabled use of Tesla superchargers will start - I just keep seeing spring, which is not a date; and 2) can you use the Tesla superchargers with their so called magic plug. Also how do you find out where they are?

TIA,

Steve

Yes, Magic-Dock stations work right now. Download the Tesla app and select "charge my non-Tesla". You'll see the map of Magic-Dock stations and use that app to charge.

Thank you.

And as a follow on, if the Tesla app says a supercharger should charge a non-tesla, it in fact should?

What Chasing Coral said about the app, but for us out west, there are a couple up in northern California and one in Glendale Arizona at 5809 W Northern Ave. If you're heading up I17 from I10, it's a slight jog out of the way, but might be fun to try it out. Just make sure you get the Tesla app first and create an account. You're going to need that to enable it charger for your use. (I haven't tried it, just read the other messages here.)
