Gentlemen - I think its fair to say that we are all pretty pissed off with the way Ford has treated us all. We are after all customers of their most prestigious vehicle in decades. Yet we receive little or no communication from them and what we have found out is solely due to the detective work by Wonky and others. In view of Ford's love of alliteration in their cars' names - Ford Focus, Ford Fiesta, etc, I intend now ceasing to refer to it as a Mustang Mach-E. Henceforth it will be my Ford Fiasco, at least until they get their F...ing act together.Works perfectly for all three VINs I've had over mine and my business partners orders
Because she, and most of the others concerned, are working from home so it is a bit difficult to "nip next door" to have a chatWhy can't Rebecca speak to them and get answers instead of forwarding emails? This is a serious problem with a customer and it just sounds a bit lame. I'm interested in what other people think in case i'm wrong
They still have phones.Because she, and most of the others concerned, are working from home so it is a bit difficult to "nip next door" to have a chat
Some uk pic:
We all know that a battery has an optimum operating temperature. This applies to both Li-Ion and standard lead acid ones. The temperatures, and I know it's not an excuse, that our US friends seem to be experiencing where these issues are appearing are quite extreme. The other thing is that Ford have always harped on about the connectivity of the MME, OTA updates when it suits you etc, etc, etc, which makes me wonder if these communication systems are always on on talking to each other and their 'friends'. If this is the case then that, added to the extreme cold, could be causing the drain on the 12v.https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/mme-strands-me-in-a-blizzard.3494/
This is not looking good re the battery problems.
Hopefully by the time ours land at dealers, Ford will have come up with a fix. They have some time to figure it out. This is what puzzles me, why 12v battery problems when the main huge battery is supposed to keep the 12v one topped up?
Seems early VW id3 models had the same issue of 12v battery draining and leaving the car stranded. This is what puzzles me, why 12v battery problems when the main huge battery is supposed to keep the 12v one topped up?
Or 8 months for me!They have around 8 weeks or maybe more to figure out a fix!
Worked perfectly for me Tony. You effing genius!!TESTERS REQUIRED
As part of the package of tools I've been creating to help you all - I have just finished putting together an easy to use spreadsheet that will allow you to calculate your full Mach-E VIN (including the pesky check digit which is quite frankly insane in how it's calculated!)
All you need is the last 5 digits that the dealer provides you to get the full VIN.
To those of you that have your full VIN - can I ask you to test this to see if it works and produces your VIN correctly?
If it all works ok I'll add it to the Wiki so that someone else can copy and paste the whole thing and repost it without giving any credit ?
Test Google Sheets version is here - and you can only edit the highlighted cells.
(and remember to empty the boxes before closing as it's a live shared sheet!)
