As soon as I’m in traffic I use active cruise control and let the car follow the car in front, I’ve used this in my Golf GTE and hoping to do the same when the Mach E arrives! ????‍

One thing I have noticed with all your reports on your test drives, none has mentioned whether the cars that you have driven emit a beeping sound when in reverse like the US versions seem to do. I hope not as it could get very annoying for my neighbours when I am reversing out of my garage at 0600

Yes. The car I drove beeped when I reversed it. It didn’t seem that loud in the car itself and I opened the window and listened as well.
No doubt it would be annoying at 0600 though...

I videoed it when we got stuck in a cul de sac and I asked the dealer to 3 point turn it for me. Ironically not very loud in the car. There must be a setting for this outside noise surely.

Yes mine was beeping in reverse as well. As @Mercury8 has said did not seem overly loud but this was on a busy Ford car park at 10am ?

That video does make me really happy with my choice of colour and I do not think the alloys look too bad at all on black car ?

All electric cars do, it's for pedestrian safety. You can't really hear it in my current car and it certainly isn't something that will be heard from inside a house to annoy the neighbours .

The last few Toyota Prius I’ve leased have all had the constant reverse beep thing. I had the dealer change the software setting as a PDI option to a single beep on every one of them.

With that option set you just get the one beep to let you know you’ve engaged “R” which was much better. Might be worth seeing if the Ford has the same option.

I think it will sound loud in the summer at 6am in a heat wave when everyone has their windows open.

It shouldn't be too much of an issue. If it's too loud I'll just have to reverse into the garage. It's a bit more fiddly but at least the charge port will be on the right side. And please no comments "the charge port is on the left" ?

It’ll be ok for me up in Scotland. I’ll park out on the road for the one day of the year that we can have our windows open!?
