Here is a teaser from me. I'll do a bit more later. I'm going to have some fun.
Congratulations!!! Both of you... the patience of a saint but worth it all in the end. Sorry I can't be joining you.

I can wait for the reviews and reports on how you get on.

:)

That is b/s
Steve

Do you have contact details for Hannah. Is she Ford?
I spoke the Mach-E team today and they advised they cannot give shipping info from Mexico to Antwerp.

My car was produced 4/5 May and has been shown as on the way since the 9th May

Obvs the frunk divider is there (some small hope it's not installed)?
You can just remove it, its only held in with some plastic clips, seen a video on YouTube will take about 5 mins

A quick run-through of how it went this morning.

So my pickup was at 10.30am - and I finally escaped about 12.30pm. I was fully prepared for a slightly longer handover as I had a suspicion that there may be some procedural unknowns for the dealerships to tackle, and I was right!

The guys at Bussey's Ford Store in Norwich were all amazing, and at the end of the day it was Ford Credit who ended up embarrassing everyone by delaying things and not being prepared for collections to begin.

The crux of the issue was to do with how the £3k grant allowance was shown on the invoice. There was never any question over it being paid by Ford as my VIN was on a master list that they have showing who is eligible regardless of past grant application status issues. It all came down to account codes and Q4 or Q1 invoicing.

We got there in the end, and it gave me plenty of time to give the vehicle a good look over and do some promo photos for the socials.

All cables and accessories present & correct. One minor paint defect (minor overspray bump which Ford are going to sort in the next week or so)

Right - I'm off out for a drive ! :)

My experience this morning.
Dealer picked me up at 0800 and we got to the showroom at 0900. First thing I noticed was they hadn't done number plates with the green line. That was soon changed. Keys are the same as posted except for some reason they don't have a blade inside like my old ones. You get a standalone blade. So far the only reason I can see for that is so you can deactivate the passenger airbag. It has switch as per handbook. Took about an hour or so to 90% set up profiles/settings etc. One problem which I must admit I was expecting, and I think @Wonky_Donkey had same issue, was that the profile I set up on Ford pass app wouldn't transfer to the Infotainment system. I'll have to have a further play. Had 43 miles on the clock at pickup now has 120 and I haven't used foot brake once yet. OPD is brilliant. So far you can lock/unlock the car and remote start using the app. Not delved into setting up charging etc yet. That's a job for later. Overall so far it is well worth the wait and I feel sorry for those have bailed as I think, now, they have made the wrong decision. Oh yes, build quality looks spot on. More to follow once I have had a bit more fun. Feel free to ask and if I have come across it I'll answer.
