I seem to have got this working. It will charge out of the hours you set if the amount of charge you request is larger than what it can achieve in the number of hours you set. Hope that makes sense.
Aah… great find. Thanks for that!

Hi all

still in Skye starting home tomorrow.
Has been windy here today and there was a lot of wind noise. I know there was a lot of fuss initially with wind noise. I haven’t got a mme to compare with but my roof is about 3mm higher than windscreen see terrible picture. Is that normal?

Spent 45min giving it a quick detail yesterday evening before we set off to Isle of W today… there was a quick shower this morning that ruined all my hard work ?

This may be old news, but we got a letter from Ford credit relating to our original order (dealer still hasn’t cancelled it, I’m guessing he’s still upset with me ?), saying that they can offer us 2.9% down from 4.9% on our order. Seems as if Ford have listened to us are are honouring old orders with the new interest rate ???? Do you think this means we can expect a Mustang key fob in the mail anytime soon?? ?????

Hi all,

A quick note on headlights in the MME - specifically the automatic high beam control.

In my experience (albeit limited to just two days ?) the headlights are absolutely brilliant ?

  • The lights are very powerful and give a very bright clear beam (I have the RWD ER)
  • The Automatic High Beam Control works really well, and dips the beam almost the instant it senses the lights from an on-coming vehicle
  • PLEASE NOTE that in my car the setting was looking at traffic approaching on the left-hand side e.g. as in Europe, so you need to change it to look for traffic on the righ-hand side!
  • This system also minimises glare for other drivers with the Glarefree Lighting setting
  • The other excellent setting (especially for country roads) is the Adaptive Front Lighting which provides in effect a wider beam through additional lighting to both sides of the main beam
  • See pages 91 - 96 of the owners manual if the above sounds of interest

You probably already know all this, but I was very impressed, so thought I would mention it ?
David.
I read your post with great interest. I too have a RWD ER and if you have what you say you have then one of us has a rogue vehicle. Way back in March 2020 I obtained the specs for the RWD and AWD ER and SR range vehicles before the were officially published. Back then the RWD ER was supposed to come with adaptive headlights. However when the PICG was raised to include cars under £50,000 and Ford reduced the price of the RWD ER from £50,190 to £49,980 they took away the adaptive headlight functionality.
My car hasn't got the glarefree setting that you say yours has and it doesn't have adaptive headlights either. I know this as I had them on my previous Kuga and you can see them working when the lights are on and the car is in the garage. My MME doesn't have them.

I’ve rebooted the EVSE and will see what happens tonight - unfortunately we’re on 99% charge so I won’t be able to see if it stops when it should.
Further to this, I had a successful charge overnight after removing all schedule, tariff and preferred times from everywhere and just starting again. It was only a short charge but seemed to go as expected.

My home charge point is still detected as being in a village about 30 miles away though.

Is this the same crappy key that everyone has?

I have these, but also a small single-pronged... thing. Something to do with airbags and which is currently separate because it was apparently "draining the (12v?) battery", No idea what that was about.

It belongs and fits in the official correct mustang key that silver thing. The key you've been given is designed for the kuga and ford have issued that for the mache as they forgot to make the mustang key uk insurance compliant.

Looks like it's page 100 folks in the manual

But not much more than this.

Interesting! I should be picking up my RWD ER in the next couple of days so will check out on mine!

Worth checking your car to check your dealer removed the temporary bump stops for shipping in the front springs... Mine didn't. ?

Might explain why some people thought they had a bad ride.

Wow that’s pretty awful. Surely that’s rule one of delivering a new car to a customer?!
