Just watched this interesting comparison video with Audi Q4 E-Tron (Mach E wins, just!) (160) Ford Mustang Mach-E v's Audi Q4 e-tron - Can German cool tame the (electric) wild horse? - YouTube

He makes an interesting point about the door buttons - will they work in freezing conditions? Particularly thinking of those winter evenings when it pours down, then skies clear, temperature plummets, and everything freezes! Will we be able to get in our cars?!?! Presumably it will be our Scottish friends who will find this out first!!!
There are videos of them testing the cars in very cold snow conditions

Haven't heard of any issues like that from our friends over the pond. Yet

You can't activate your FordPass charging network card via the app. It has to be done via your Ford account on-line

Sorry- I didn't explain that well. I was trying to do it on-line. Ford Pass redirected me. Still didn't work!

I'll try it on my surface pro tomorrow.

Congrats! Been following the UK forum as my wife and I plan to visit England someday. Want to see all over but hope to avoid ā€œMidsomer Countyā€ for obviously reasons, LOL ?

You have impeccable taste when it comes to first names, car model, colour choice, and licence plate ? Are you by any chance my evil twin? - although in hindsight I’m probably the evil one :)

Allow me to translate the plate-

T= me, Tony
R= Ruth, wifey
MME= to us, self evident

But what about the 10?
In fact read it as TRIO- changes it doesn't it?

There is just 3 of us in our household. Me, Ruthie and Daniel Spaniel. In other words a Trio!

Hence TR10MME
am I a sad git?

Okay, I’m looking into options for where to mount a wall charger and it definitely seems like we’ve got no good options, just because of where the meter is and how far away it is for the ideal location. Compromise is probably going to be needed, meaning we have it in a less than ideal location which would mean having the car pulled up close to the house when we want to charge.

I’ve looked online but can’t seem to find consensus on the length of the type 2 cable you get with the MME. Could someone confirm please?

Only picked mine up today- haven't even unpacked the cable. If you are still stuck for answers tomorrow I'll unravel it and measure it, as it happens I need to know as well due to a building project we've embarked on.

It’s 5½ metres of cable between the two plugs - I just went out to the car and measured mine. Officially it’s 6 metres long, but that includes the length of the plugs on each end.

Looking on the Ford parts website it appears there are three different versions you can get, a 6m, 6m with a bag (should be the one supplied with the car as below), and an 8m version.

The EV point runs off you’re fuse board, not your meter.
Meter access is only for CT’s which a lot of manufacturers can do remotely.
May or May not help, as some meters and fuse boards are in the same location.

Is it possible to measure the granny lead as I collect my car on 4th September and my charger is not being installed until 8th September so I've got to make do with the granny lead until this time. Thanks.
