Oh dear. Best laid plans and all that. Took my car in to my dealer first thing for the roof recall/software update and the service manager was on the phone to the tech who was going to do the job who had called in to say that he had tested + for covid ?. Some good news though. He has managed to find someone who will do the windscreen recall so I am booked in next Tuesday to get that done. Rebooked for the roof/software work to be done 19/20 now. ? ? Good job my dealer is only 500ft away from me.

To be fair yours seems to have been 'processed' a little quicker than mine as i'm still showing the same compound out that it had when it arrived at Antwerp last week - hoping the faffing doesn't take too long and all of our vehicles can be on the next leg of their journey sooner rather than later...
The GOB status changed again yesterday, no idea what GOB stands for

Committed to build is their way of saying its being/has been scheduled into a build slot on the production line. Build slots can be a bit fluid and move earlier or later (normally later)

It also has to go through a stage known as "segmentation" or in normal person speak "Have we got all the parts in stock that we need to build this car?"

UK and EU orders are normally built in batches to help with line adjustments (think right hand drive vs left hand drive builds), and batches earmarked for fleets orders tend to come towards the end of a cycle.

So short answer - yes this sounds ok - but keep pushing for that VIN. :)
Hi The lease company have stated:

"the dealer has not received a VIN (chassis number) which would be the confirmation that the build is complete. They will keep checking though"

Should the VIN not be allocated at the start of the build?

I can’t speak for anyone else (and this was for a retail order via the Ford website) but I got my new VIN on 3rd December 2021, and my car was actually built on 17th February 2022.

…so quite a while before being built ;)

Wow. I wasn't expecting that answer.

The GOB status changed again yesterday, no idea what GOB stands for

To be honest, I literally have no idea what GOB means haha.

I’ve had literally zero change in my status since it was discharged on the 29th, so I presume yours is making its way through the system faster than mine ?.

Keep the faith, it’ll be on the move soon!

GOB and VMACS are two different tracking systems used by Ford, that’s why the dates seem to change independently.

The Antwerp phase feels like forever, we‘re about a ⅓rd of the way through it now. Lots of activity to come before we move on to Vlissingen and then Dagenham.… and remember the updates are sometimes delayed by 48hrs. :)

Thanks for the confirmation Wonkey!

Is it ‘normal’ I’ve had zero update / movement since being released from the Torino?

Randomly, I got an update from the dealer today stating that they’re looking at a end of May delivery, that being said they also stated they literally have no idea when it’ll be in Dagenham or arriving to them so not sure how they can give me an ETA…

I’m hopeful it’ll be with me mid May really, but we’ll see!

Yep- nice feeling isn't it?

I had an early Leaf 2016-end 2017, so had one of these tax demands- just wish UKHMRC adopted the same attitude!

Hiya

It’s quite normal, and at some points in process the order status will only refresh weekly (normally on a Monday)

It’s two weeks today since we were offloaded and my car is still at the “ANT TRANS” status with a date of 30/03/2022

As a reminder - here are the steps the car needs to get through before delivery…

ANT TRANS (Antwerp Receiving compound)
ANT QPDI (Quality Control)
ANT CUST (Customs)
ANTWERP (Ready to leave)

NEW FLUSH (Shipping to UK from NL)

DAG TRANS (UK Receiving compound)
DAGTOPS / DAGRAIL
VAFD (At dealership)

Only you dealer can see the above codes, but a change in COMPOUND IN / OUT that we can see will signify another step of progress.

Hang on in there

Small road trip at the weekend to stay on Exmoor. Passed a White MME on my way on Friday, flashed my lights once and waved. Got a blank look from other driver and the sort of " who the hell was that" expression. Was it something I did? ?

Wait... so you still need to tax a MME? even though the tax is zero rated?

Presumably, you need to register yourself as the keeper and the rest is self explanatory?

I'm on the edge of Dartmoor, so give it a month or so and that could be me, i'd be more kind though and give you a customary 'flash' back however ? - we're all a bit wary of the Grockles down 'ere i'm afraid!

Thanks for the (as ever) detailed response Wonkey! I've literally had no update since arriving in Antwerp according to Wheresmymme... it's actually reverted back to apparently being in Veracruz again ? - must be another glitch for Louis to remedy?

Spoke with the dealer Friday and apparently their system is showing an ETA to the dealer of 7th May, so fingers crossed!
