To be fair I get why you are pissed. COVID issues aside which have delayed things, if I had ordered a first edition and paid the premium for it, I would expect the car to be on the first shipload of cars that arrive in the UK. As we know though the comms and marketing for this whole launch have been poor to say the least so I’m unfortunately not surprised. hopefully the extra few weeks will be worth the wait for you. ill keep my fingers crossed.

Yes first edition you would expect to be first deliveries. If not there isn’t a point to call it first edition.

What about "We expect deliveries to begin in the UK in early 2021 but can confirm, that as one of our pre-order customers, you are at the front of the queue."

That was on an email back in May!



My Specific rant is because I ordered a FIRST EDITION on the FIRST day of pre-orders. I was one of the FIRST 50 people to see the car at Dunton in December last year, where we were told the the FIRST EDITION would have priority build and that we would be the FIRST lucky people to own the car in the UK.

To the find out that my delivery date is 6 weeks after people who pre-ordered 10 months after me has made me more than miffed. Spending the over 35 years in import business, I know fully well the supply chain issues that have occurred during the last year, but that's no excuse to feed us continual BS during the year in emails about priority builds.

Come clean, tell us we'll have to wait to save Ford money in production line costs and give us more than just a poxy pair of end of line headphones that B&O have been left overstocked on.

I feel exactly the same and do sympathise, I ordered a FE AWD ER (Rapid Red) straight after the launch on 18/11/2019 and had the same emails and visited Dunton, in fact I've seen the car on 4 different occasions and trying to convince myself it will be worth the wait. I'm sure Ford management are embarrassed by the situation and will eventually compensate us in some way. I currently drive a Mustang and at least can console myself I will have a few more months with such a beautiful car!

My other car is an Alfa Romeo 4C Spider (which I am keeping forever!). I love driving it and I still smile every day I am behind the wheel. The only issue is that I had a Fiesta as my daily driver which is now being driven by my son who needs it for work. The Alfa, is now an appreciating asset and not a great winter car!

A quick update. I went on the Ford website to see what they are quoting online if you started a new order from scratch. So for a AWD - ER its 23-24 weeks. Quite possible that someone could order a car today and receive it the same week as I receive mine that pre-ordered 13 months ago. Believe it or, you can still order a RWD SR be quoted 20-23 weeks.

Thats amazingly bad and a huge misrepresentation by Ford.

We know the answer to that will be that it is a cancelled order.

The whole order allocation is a massive misrepresentation bordering on fraud. To order a car today and potentially receive it 9 weeks earlier than someone that has had their car on order for 13 months is nothing short of pathetic.
