I am in the UK and quite prepared to pay the price ford indicated when I made the reservation.
I would say however that the car versions offered in the UK are packaged very differently to the US and indeed the rest of Europe.
In the UK there are two versions RWD and AWD both in SR or ER. Except for colour that’s it. There are no options. In Europe the tech pack and tech pack plus are options (these include the panoramic roof) If Ford were to market the car in a similar way in the UK that would do it, as bizarrely options are not included in the price for the tax threshold. Along with delivery charges as Madscientist identified.
I realise that for lots of forum members this is a very parochial British issue and we seem to be carping. It’s just the it would mean the car we really want would be $3,500 cheaper.

So you say they are different in Europe. I did not know this. I thought
the only difference was right hand steering. Just what do you not get
for the same price ? That is not fair at all. In USA we did not choose options
or delete them. They were packages. I believe we both are the same.
I HOPE !!

I probably have not made myself clear. I am not suggesting we are not getting something that others are, just that we have limited versions/options.
As I understand it there are a number of versions in the US - select, premium, Californian, GT, all with different specs and trim there maybe options to come but I do not know about this.
In Europe they have the same basic versions as the uk but whereas in Europe the technology packs are an option that you add. In the uk they are already in the ER version so Increasing the base price.
Actual pricing is difficult with different tax regimes. However the car is pretty expensive in the Uk. My RWD ER that probably equates to your premium is ÂŁ51,240 by my calculations about $62,800 before and rebate/grant. Last week about $67,000!! Not sure how this compares to your position.
Attached is my spec For the Mach E with all the ticked items

I do see price is more for you. I do agree this should not be. There are many
small factors to change pricing. We all will just not know until we sign at
the bottom line. We are all in this together and I think things will change
soon. Corona will have some effect on the MME. Ford is also part blame
as they keep info a big secret. In a month or two Ford wants us to order
with a dealer. Just how will we do this without full specs and time to understand
the MME. This Forum is great but we are running out of things to discuss.
And we are loosing part of our mind. Let's all share the info we can
and stay friends that help each other out.

I would like to share my ordering of a 2018 Wrangler JL. This was the new
model. I ordered in mid Dec. 2017. Salesman said it will be there the end of Feb.
Well Feb. came and no production. Delayed till March. Nope again delayed
till April. Production started April 9. We could track our build on the Forum.
Mine was completed April 25. Then sent to staging area to ship. It sat there
until May 26. My dealer is 70 miles from the plant. I saw them ship everywhere
except to him. I do not want this to happen with all the MME. If others did
this in their life you know the pain. Right now it is fun talking and dreaming
of the MME. Just wait until your order is in and every day seems like a week.

Anyone know if the UK EV car grant is applied to the list price of a car or the final sale price? As in, could your dealer sell you the ÂŁ50k ER RWD for ÂŁ49,999 in order to be eligible for the grant, or is it going to be based on the RRP?

From the uk gov guidance

Definition of Price
2.8 The plug-in vehicle grant will be taken off the purchase price of the vehicle. For private, business, fleet or demonstration models this means the actual price paid by the customer, including any discount, not the recommended retail price. This definition of purchase price includes:
• Number plates,
• Vehicle excise duty
• VAT (as applicable) and excludes:
• Any optional extras
• Delivery charges
• First registration fee.
Any discount offered on the vehicle to the customer by either the dealer or the company must be applied to the price before the application of the plug-in vehicle grant.

This defines the car price that the grant is deducted from, which may not be the same as the car price used to test against the ÂŁ50k limit.

I couldn't find any updated government guidance on this, but a number of publications have stated the ÂŁ50k limit applies to the list price, excluding additional extras, delivery and registration fee (see Tesla UK).

This is where the abstract came from. Strangely I believe the definition of price is different for the PICG than it is for the now irrelevant for BEV’s luxury car tax which does include delivery and extras I believe However governments tend make things a confusing as possibl.e.
I am not able to open the attachment before posting so I hope it loads ok.

iwonder how it works regarding the order date. In theory anyone who has already placed an order should not be affected??
it doesn't work that way. You only get the grant once the dealer has VIN and registers it with DVLA/OLEV

En France le bonus écologique pour un véhicule de plus de 60 000€ a été supprimé depuis février, il était de 6000€ ce qui n'était pas négligeable. Comme la FE est à 69500€ pour nous le problème est résolu
