Thank you for the info and the links.Hi Everyone!
We recently had an outage that triggered a FordPass message to you regarding a Master Vehicle Reset causing Phone As A Key and Backup Start Passcode to be revoked. This message was sent in error, there was no remote Master Vehicle Reset and Backup Start Passcodes were not revoked. Only a small number of Mustang Mach-E owners received the message, and those owners have been notified directly. We are sorry for any confusion this has caused.
Regarding Phone As A Key, that same outage did cause this feature to be temporarily revoked, but we can confirm that you can now go ahead and Reset your Phone As A Key and then Re-Setup your Phone As A Key in the FordPass App.
Remember, before you try to re-setup Phone As A Key, be sure to complete the Phone As A Key Reset and have your key fob present, since the Reset will erase your current Backup Start Passcode. Again we apologize for any confusion or inconvenience caused.
Phone as a Key reset instructions can be found at:

Please send us a DM if you if you need further assistance.
I agree! One of my MANY calls to FordPass I came away with the same feeling. They don't know what they are talking about, it's hit and miss as who you got as a customer rep and the information they give you. You need to bring your key fob on any long tripUpdate: FordPass support was useless. Basically said we’re very sorry and advise people to take their fobs with them. They were not helpful in confirming if the passcode has a shelf life or not. Still waiting for dealer service center to confirm
The factory door code is on a small plastic card that is in the case with the minimal documentation. And this is why I'm so incredibly annoyed that the dealer has STILL not given me my factory door code.
But it’s not. They told me they lost the card when I bought it and that I would have the code come Monday. That was like 7 Mondays ago.The factory door code is on a small plastic card that is in the case with the minimal documentation.
pretty inexcusable of that dealership, that was one of the first things I verified when I went to pick up my car.But it’s not. They told me they lost the card when I bought it and that I would have the code come Monday. That was like 7 Mondays ago.
Is it not with the bunch of papers they are giving you at delivery and that we normally put aside in the glove compartment? That is where mine was.And this is why I'm so incredibly annoyed that the dealer has STILL not given me my factory door code.
We got ours about a week after we purchased the car. It came with a quick guide and a short version of the owners manual. Is it not with the bunch of papers they are giving you at delivery and that we normally put aside in the glove compartment? That is where mine was.
That is different and it came inside our cars on pickup. Early FebruaryWe got ours about a week after we purchased the car. It came with a quick guide and a short version of the owners manual.
I created my door code with the user profile and never once entered in the factory code. I've used it many times and it works fine.EDIT - apparently you can't create a personal code without the factory access code. my mistake.
interesting, the manual on page 75 makes it sound like you have to have the factory code.I created my door code with the user profile and never once entered in the factory code. I've used it many times and it works fine.
That's the process for using the keypad. If you do it through the Sync screen you don't need the factory code.interesting, the manual on page 75 makes it sound like you have to have the factory code.
