Especially when you knock another $7500 Federal and perhaps additional state EV tax incentives.
tbf in the Fusion case I got the full Federal $7500 for it so that's a wash - but in the larger picture, for sure.

between this and the ID.4 we are very close to "price competitive with ICE" for the class of vehicle they are in, post-credit.

True but keep in mind we don’t yet know the true MSRP for a GT if you want all the options on the Premium. For example, how much will the glass roof add to the $60,500?
That's a good point. In this kind of situation where I'm custom ordering the vehicle, which I have done before actually, I'd just fully option it up.

still who knows, maybe after 1 year I'll be trading in the post-deprecation, post-tax-credit FE for a GT?

(actually if they came out with a convertible [*][**], then it would be a done deal.)

[*] there was the Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet so anything's possible Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet: A Review - YouTube [***]
[**] I mean on purpose, not just because the roof flies off due to sh*tastic quality control
[***] edit: that Nissan video hard crashed my browser three times. somehow that feels appropriate given the vehicle in question.

with the statement that I don't believe the listed incentives are meaningful right now because again too far out, I am also showing the $2,500 off X-plan in my part of Ohio:

(*) I paid nowhere near that!
The incentive is Texas is only a $1k.

for some reason, probably just not paying attention, I thought the delta from FE to GT was a lot larger. If it wasn't for the timing, I'd probably go GT. But I am counting the seconds at this point until I get the car - I don't think I have it in me to wait for the GT.

That Select price feels insanely low now given what a lot of other new cars cost in 2020. It's lower than my well-optioned Fusion's MSRP (*) was when I bought it seven years ago, which might say more about the MSRP on that car than this one, but anyway...

(*) I paid nowhere near that!
Remember that you can click on those incentive numbers and see the details, including the applicable dates.

Also remember that the MME is priced differently than normal right now. Invoice price is also MSRP. So when comparing to another model like the Fusion, compare Fusion invoice to MME MSRP.

Did you get $7500? The tax refund is dependent on the size of the battery and I thought the Fusion's battery wasn't large enough for the full $7500...

:does some googling:

Ah yeah:

I wouldn't quite go that far. You can get some pretty nice and comparable CUVs for $30k.

Looks like Kamuela HI is at $2,500 now. :)
Plus all of the current incentives expire before we even get our Mach Es.

The dealer out here does not do X-Plan for any vehicle.

Most of these incentives, if not all, will say in the fine print that vehicle must be taken from dealer stock so I assume none of these will apply to the Mach E that we're ordering even if they were still available at time of purchase.

Rather common out here @bluestarct. I think there's only one dealer statewide that does Xplan. Hawaii has a unique set of circumstances that results in a high cost of living. While we all want a discount, very few, if any, of any manufacturer's dealers are actually "gouging." And I'd just as soon they stay in business and employ people in jobs that aren't tourism related. :)

If you look at the various national ads for fast food specials as an example, you'll see exclusions for the 50th state. Oh and standby space available transportation on Pasha or Matson to a Hawaii port for a car from Oakland, California? $1500. Ford charges us $1100. I'd be surprised if that was above their actual cost.

It's a fact of life out here. :)

But I am glad to see incentives cropping up. I hope they stay around.

I thought I got the full, but it was a while ago obviously. It was my fourth hybrid so maybe I'm getting them confused on the tax credit.

edit: just looked at my return and it was $7,500 as calculated by the tax software. So I did remember correctly. Don't know why it's not showing that now.

I brought this up in another thread and @trutolife27 said that these will count as "taken from dealer stock." It's still a bit squirrelly to me how it works out... but it does work out.
