Remember that "electric vehicle" usually includes PHEVs and/or regular hybrids too. May not need a massive amount of batteries if it's mostly hybrids. That part is confusing as you point out - but it could be that Ford is implying assembly of batteries than a full vertical integration as that would be a big deal shift from their previous decisions - but perhaps Ford is hedging and may be really starting a self sufficient battery production in Canada just for those vehicles but doubtful.
Yup that tooRemember that "electric vehicle" usually includes PHEVs and/or regular hybrids too. May not need a massive amount of batteries if it's mostly hybrids.
Sorry for the rest of you but there are enough batteries for mineThe mache is launch is 4 days behind right now. If things get behind dealer demo might be put on hold to get FE out first when MP2 starts.
Did get the chance to see some more of the JD Power review. They also were not a fan of the frunk divider. Jd power has to finish checking one more model before release.
The first 8,000 Batteries were supplied from South Korea. Just pushed the issue to find it out. So they will be put into dealer demo models FE and the first couple of thousand Premium.
Have a review coming out for you all later today or first thing tomorrow. From an important person.
All the Mach Es are built in Cuautitlan, so the battery cells from Poland get two trips across the Pond. It’s possible the demand for the European EV market made it simpler for LG Chem use the cells out of Poland there initially and ship the Mach-E cells from Korea to Cuautitlan.
The cells are made by the same company both places so should be of equal quality.
If the FE’s are going to be assembled before the FCTP / Demos, I would to expect to receive a build date very soon.
No, Polestar is made by Geely who also owns Volvo. VW is a completely separate company.VW is going all in on BEV. Polestar is owned by VW. Could Ford be going in the same direction?? I was surprised that there was not a BEV bronco. I would have had to think twice if there was one.
Yes but I liked the rendered images better -- the Frunk had a pony in it! ?Thanks, @makooy, great photo of the frunk divider. it looks removable to me.
This one?what happened to the tread first deliver date guess?
I live in SoCal and ordered an FE 5 minutes after the window to order opened. I should be one of the first based on pure prayerNo but if someone wants to make a thread about when will the first Mache arrive to one of us.
I have a ford gift package can send to the winner![]()
