And the fact that the video was published on the Ford Europe youtube channel.
Again,, '1 Mile' is '1 Mile' no matter the country. If you officially CLAIM it can do it... why would you only be able to do so in a specific country/region?

Forget Governments.. real people and real distances vs Claims

My opinion

From February 2020:
Ford Mustang Mach-E Video claims 379 miles! 9:30 timestamp Screen Shot 2021-01-23 at 9.19.29 PM

I will give it to you that 600 km only translates to 373 miles, not 379, but that scale of estimate using the WLTP criteria is nothing new.

Because the air is so much cleaner in europe as a result of their being a part of the Paris Climate Accords, there's less friction, thus the additional 9 miles. Simple physics!!!?

In a way, however, it isn't that much of a "claim".

Ford is saying that "using this testing standard we got X miles of range out of the car". The testing standard in question just happens to be WLTP.

The idea is really: If all cars use the same test it makes it easier to compare between cars not necessarily what you're going to get driving (sure its accepted that WLTP yields much longer ranges than EPA--see @ChasingCoral's post #7 above--but the intent was for car comparisons sake, not so much "how far can I go?").

Yes we've been all looking at the #'s and thinking "I hope I can go that far" but then everyone is also saying "well I know EPA numbers don't work for highway so I'm going to have to knock them down about 30%" so even with EPA we know its foibles too.

I wouldn't call the 379 miles on Europe's WLTP a claim. Europe has established a way to test their cars and to be on an even playing field, all auto manufacturers should use the same test so European buyers can compare apples to apples if they are deciding between two cars tested the same way. Maybe they will get to know over time, for the roads in my area, those claims are x% to high.

It is my understanding that here in USA, EPA provides some options for manufacturers and I believe I read on one of the other threads that Ford chose a more conservative option than Tesla such that your Ford Mustang Mach Ex4 may come really close to getting 275 miles while the Tesla Model Y long range AWD cannot really achieve their 326 miles. TheSmokingTire YouTube channel guy confirmed he got a little over the 270 without lead footing around southern California with climate control on.

Sleek video - but interesting that this professional driver made no comments about how the car drives. Would be nice to have her input - but also I realize she is a paid spokesperson.

Model Y 70mph range test showed 275 miles.

And the Edmunds review got 304 miles on range on the Mach E. Go to 4:20 in this video:

Sounds like a dead heat to me.
