The phone call with Jason Castriota was hilarious!

This has got to have been my favorite review of the Mach-E. From talking about the heritage, showcasing it against both a Tesla Model Y and 5.0 Mustang GT, and highlighting the Mach-E's strengths and weaknesses saying the 80% limitation is decimating the Mach-E's road trip range, Hagerty covered the car extremely well.

I might have liked and subscribed after viewing.

I honestly dread/can't wait for when someone decides to 'customize' their MME by painting the roof rails body color. Some people just don't "get it".

I would not object to a high-quality photoshop exercise in this vein, however.

The black Mach-E is probably the best example.

Definitely some great moments in the video. “Suckers....”

Just another reminder how Ford shot itself in the foot delaying the release of the GT and GT performance. They should have at least some pre-production test vehicles out there by now!

Why? Because every video review can’t resist reminding us how it gets its doors blown off in a drag race by a dual motor model Y.

The Y is as fast as a Mustang GT. And the E is as fast as a...... 4 cylinder Honda Accord:https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a15079405/2018-honda-accord-20t-automatic-test-review/

Bring us the GT!

Honda is 5.5 sec vs 4.8 of an AWD?

Look at the 1/4 mile time and speed. And real world the AWD seems to be over 5 seconds.

The Accord would be an extremely close race. AWD would jump out in front and the Accord would chase it down.

Anyone feel the need to post videos of an Accord vs a v8 Mustang Gt all the time?

Of course not, because they aren’t even remotely comparable in acceleration.

So why the need to compare the Mach E to the dual motor Y? It’s not even remotely close. Not a fair matchup so it’s a bit obnoxious to compare the two. Wait for the GT then make the videos.

No? The Honda runs the 1/4 mile in 14.1 seconds according to that article, and the E does it in the low 13s (13.4 on Motortrend). They're not even close.

That’s the fastest test I’ve seen for the Mach E, most are quite a bit slower.

But even so, that article just proves my point more. Until the GT comes out, the Mach E is still a closer race with the Accord than the Y.

From the article you posted,

“ The gap widened to 1.0 second at the quarter-mile finish line where the Tesla crossed in 12.4 seconds at 114.8 mph and the Ford in 13.4 ticks at 103.5 mph. As drag racers will tell you, that 11-mph difference in trap speed really reveals the Mach-E's power deficit to the Model Y.”

A few more data points:

Car and Driver- 5.1 and 13.8 @ 101mph

Motorweek 14.3 @ 99 mph.

Wrong. They will get double the coverage. Every single review will be repeated.

Only if you believe “there’s no such thing as bad press.”

But I think there is such thing as bad press. Losing all the performance comparison reviews for 6 months doesn’t give a good first impression.

We know they have GT test mules (we have seen the pictures), not sure why they’re keeping them a secret. They’ve already told us the performance specs. We know exactly what they look like. So let’s get some of those things on the road before another “internet car guru” comes out with yet another video of the Y embarrassing the E in a drag race.

You think the next time Chevy redoes the Camaro, they should pit the 4 cylinder one against the Mustang GT for 6 months before a v8 comes out so they can get double the press?
