Oh don't I know it! When Susan and I first came in to your dealership we were greeted by a very nice young man who was now our salesman. He was professional, seemed very honest and was basically just a nice guy. When we sat down and talked, I told him I had the EXACT same car on order and I was receiving it at X-Plan pricing. I added that we were really there to see Infinite Blue Metallic and Space Grey in person (which is why we were there). He told me they could match that price (I knew he was wrong but I know he believed it). He asked us if we wanted to drive it and I said "sure" immediately. When we got back he asked if we liked it and I said yes and would buy it if I received X-Plan pricing. This is where the GM came into the equation. Over the phone when I called them I was told it was $10,000 over MSRP. The assistant GM asked us to take a seat and then proceeded to meet with the GM. I think they were very "proud" to offer the car at MSRP plus $3,000 ADM. I said no but countered at offering MSRP when he asked me how much I'd pay. Back to the GM and he came back at "only" $2,000 over MSRP. Susan and I thanked them for their time snd left. They said they would call if they decided to lower the price and I said fine but also said the car was originally purchased at X-Plan price and felt I should be offered the same courtesy. They went into some BS story about you backing out of original deal and how now they couldn't sell it again at X-Plan price but I knew they just wanted to make more money. Bottom line to this saga is that I am remaining with my original dealer and my original price at X-Plan level and hopefully, will get my car by June (or July at the latest). I would have jumped at X-Plan or MSRP pricing at the second dealer but no more then that. My phone has been strangely silent.Talk about a dealer trying to lay the guilt trip. My original dealer has been doing this over and over since I canceled my order. The car came in the way I didn't want it, and if I'm spending $60K on a vehicle, it better damn well be the way I want it. I went elsewhere to buy it. I called them today after getting the runaround tonight about my deposit refund. No one has said I won't get it, but I'm not getting it so far. Called the GM of the dealership and he proceeds to tell me that he will not 'allow' anyone to buy either of my originally ordered vehicles to anyone that has an order elsewhere, because they don't want to subject another dealership elsewhere to what I did to them. Puhleeze! Really? I questioned why they're not advertising their ADM on their website, when I clearly saw they were each marked up $10K on the lot, and he proceeded to lie and say they weren't. My wife and I both saw the markup in the window of each car. Clearly a bait and switch to get people in. They're in no rush to sell and are holding out for the highest bidder, all the while holding on to my deposit until one or both are off their hands. So @Illinibird, don't count on ever getting a call back from them.
