I have a neighbour in our complex who is a collector of old 'Stangs. Currently, he has a red Cobra parked just across from me. He's an older guy who is 'curious' about the new technology, and he's always picking my brain and having me teach him about what a new Mustang can do!

I was picking up lotto tickets at a gas station, saw a guy filling his ICE mustang, gave him the nod, said “nice Mustang”, he said “thanks! You too!”. Asked him if his was a 5.0, he said no. Anyone who goes down the path of “nOt A mUsTaNg!” I encourage to just try the MME.

Had a High-Performance Mustang driver wave and smile in a Target parking lot the other day. A woman parked behind us said that the MME is her dream car.

Just the opposite. 20 something in a Mustang ICE coming thru intersection in opposite direction. He slows down, rolls down his window, screams fu and flips me off. Nice!

Last Friday returning to the Dune Park parking lot from my walk in Point Defiance Park here in Tacoma (yes, for a change, it wasn't raining!) discovered a bright red ICE Mustang parked next to my Rapid Red Mach e. There were plenty of open spaces but he chose to park next to me. I took it as a solidarity move and took a photo.

I've told this one before, we were playing garage darts at a friends, a new guy shows up in an ICE GT. He is being a little cold and stand-offsih, then he asks a few questions (I could tell he was not a fan), so I said what do you drive? (knowing full well), he shows me his, and I just reply all serious "oh I didnt realize they still call those Mustangs, I thought if it wasnt a 4dr EV then it wasnt a mustang." The guy almost hit me but everyone else started laughing first.

We have played a few times, he is coming around, I told him to take it for a spin next time before he has any beers. He actually liked the idea and said he would like to.

At a stop light Tuesday, with the (new) nanny in the passenger seat and 2 kids in the back. 4 year old says "go fast," 11 year agrees, nanny looks confused. In the lane to my right is a Hecks Angel charter member on a Harley. I figured he'll either play or lose, so when the light went green I floored it.

4 year old giggled, nanny left permanent finger dents in the dash, 11 year old was (predictably) bored.

Guy on the Harley pulled up on my left side at the next light (he had plenty of time to see where I was!) and said, "Damn, that thing is fast."
"It is that, for sure."
"But it's not really a Mustang. It's fast like one, and it looks kind of like one, but it's not."
"Fair enough, but it makes my kids happy, even though it drives like a school bus."
"Hmm. Maybe it is a Mustang."

Amazing how machine guns can miss a finger - like shooting through a propeller, I guess. Poor guy. Hope you gave him a big smile back, though.

Of all the numerous comments from ICE Mustang owners I'd say it's ~90% positive and 10% sour grapes.

Most of the Mustangs we see around Oahu are tourists, and I don't think they are really Mustang fans so much as people who just wanted a sporty convertible on their vacation. I still try to see if any will make eye contact to return a wave, but so far none have. The true Mustang owners (usually the 5.0 guys, or cars with exotic colors besides red) are generally going too fast to make eye contact, or just ignore me. My record is about 50-50 on whether other Mach-E drivers will make eye contact and return a wave.

A few months after I got my MME, I was driving down the road and saw a 71 or 72 Mach 1 coming toward me. The driver stuck his hand out the window and waved, so I waved back.
