My Situation:

My MME: Premium - RWD - XR Battery - Carbonized Gray w/ Black Onyx
Produced on 02-15 - Shipped on 02-24 - ETA 04-07 - palsapp is pending

The car my dealer ordered as a demo is identical except Infinite Blue
Produced on 11-25 - Shipped on 02-06 - ETA 03-20 - palsapp is delivered to KC on 02-28

Could possibly buy my Dealer's demo if I wanted to. It would be here 2.5 weeks sooner. But who knows how accurate any of these delivery dates are?

My question is that since that demo car is a really early build, will it have all of the problems I have been reading about here? Have they been corrected? After all, it sat in Mexico for 2.5 months before being shipped,

This will be our only car, and it has to be reliable!

My real problem is with FMC. If there are problems that need to be corrected, I am fine with that. If it takes some extra time, that is fine as well. After all, delivery will be 15 months since I reserved, so what is another week or two. But not listing exactly what all the issues are and something to show that everything has been updated before I drive it off the lot is just inexcusable! You also have to keep your Dealers in the loop with all of this.

Issues I am aware of, which may not be everything:

12 LVB losing charge - fixed with a software update
What is the update number and can I check to see if it has been installed?
Is there some assurance that the LVB has not been damaged by this problem?

Whine from the display - is this being fixed?

Wind noise from the roof glass - is this being fixed?

PAAK - Works. Doesn't work. Works sometimes?
A fix will be out in April - maybe? Not very reassuring. And shipping with one fob when PAAK is flakey is not acceptable. FMC, dig deep into your pocket and provide a second fob at no charge to any 2021 MME purchaser when the primary user of PAAK can demonstrate that PAAK is not working. Or if that is too much to ask, sell us one at a max cost of $100.00 including programming and have it available immediately at my dealership. IMHO, anything else is really kind of insulting when I am spending $50,000.00+ for a vehicle I can't enter.

I have been in the computer business for over 40 years, so I am well aware of the bleeding edge problems of new equipment. But I am also aware that if a customer is unhappy, I have to do what it takes to make it right or I will not keep that customer for very long.

Your ETA will likely be moving. Since it's still Pending, that means the car hasn't hit KC yet and been dispatched to Argentine ramp (where West / NorCal deliveries go.).

Once you see an update via Palsapp, add on 3 weeks give or take for delivery to dealer

The window sticker never worked for me, and my car was built in December, delivered in February without delay. I just don't think their website works, period.

You're right! I keep listing the color as Inspiration rather than Infinite. Brain fart I guess. I've had that mistake in my signature for some time and this is the first somebody caught it. You've truly inspired me! ? Really, thank you for pointing that out.

The window sticker has never worked for me there. Try it from the tracker on this forum instead.

You ask a lot of questions. I'll give you my feedback on a couple.
Wind noise and screen whine are random and subjective to some extent. On mine I have neither, or at least I can't hear them . There is a whine from the motors that stops if you put the car in park. I wonder if that may be what some are hearing as a display whine..

The PAAK feature is not working or at least not fully working where you can leave your key fob at home. For me it simply doesn't work as a key. We'll see if it gets a proper fix.

What the biggest bugs I have are software glitches all over. Probably many will get fixed in the first couple of updates, just like a new Operations System would.

I do feel like the worst problems like the ones relating to 12v failures in this forum, are probably early builds and mostly dealt with by now.

First Edition, Rapid Red. AWD and the red goes well with the snow I figured.
Great minds think alike. I ordered the exact same car. Mine has been shipped and is lost in Seattle somewhere. I hope your's arrives soon. It will look sweet on the streets of Tromso and should be the first one north of the Arctic circle.

Jury is still out on the color for me because is changes so much in photos with lighting. I kind of like it better in this pic (with my particular monitor settings) So far, I am trusting others comments that it is stunning in real life.

I hear you about the color. It's like a chameleon in that it changes with the light on it on the picture settings when photo was taken. I have not seen it in person either but my General Manager tells me it's his favorite color and is stunning. To me it looks blue in direct light and grey in indirect or low light. The picture in the auto show was very blue and not representative of the color I believe. My wife picked it out though as I wanted Rapid Red.

I think this rendering is the furthest off from what it looks like IRL. The desert looking image above is close but does seem to depend quite a bit on light

Maric, I hope they get you some solid info soon!

I’ve seen infinite blue with space gray in person (and it’s what I have on order), and it looks incredible. If you want to make a statement that screams “LOOK AT ME!!! I’M HERE!!!” Then you want rapid red, grabber blue or cyber orange. If you want a color that will be unlike the sea of gray, white, and black that spans most parking lots, and will look good without getting old, IB is it.

**UPDATE 2 - May have car in hand by tomorrow. I 'think' there is some confusion as to what cars were affected by what issue. I honestly feel great empathy for Ford. As others with problems have stated here, Ford is going to great lengths to make things right. I think they are, overall, erring on the side of caution, resulting in large inventories of cars being flagged out of precaution. More info as I find out but right now things are looking much more positive.
