I have one of these from my 2015 Fusion. Glad I saved it. :)
Unfortunately, the OEM license bracket was installed prior to taking delivery of my 2016 Fusion. I wasn’t thinking ahead at the time. Not gonna’ happen with the Mach E. III’l make the decision of OEM or Craig’s license bracket. ?

Edit: I just ordered a Craig’s license plate and since I ordered before January 1, 2021 I saved 5%.

My plan is to specify they better not drill jack into the front of my 58 or 56k Mustang to affix a hideous front plate, or I will not accept delivery.
Sorry, for now in PA no front plate is required, so they better not wreck it!

Texted my dealer and told him not to install the OEM license plate holder (Craigs came Tuesday) and also not to put a dealer sticker on the car. I asked him if he would install the wheel locks I bought for the Mach E at delivery and he said yes. I'm going to try and get him to throw in a bottle of Infinite Blue Metallic Touch-Up Paint at delivery too. :D

I've also got (with Ford Rewards points) 4 wheel locks, Ford's First Aid Kit and Ford's Road Safety Kit. I've got on order a ceramic coating for the Active X upholstery which is really expensive but you only have to apply it every two years. It comes from a company in Canada (Carzilla I believe). I plan on spraying 3M Scotch Guard on the carpets and Mequiar's Interior Detailer Cleaner on the lower portion of the dash, doors and any other parts made of plastic. On the outside I plan to have my detailer install 3M Protective Paint Film on the front end (bra) and front sides of mirrors. That will be followed by Turtle Wax ICE liquid wax/cleaner (I'm considering a ceramic coating but that seems really expensive) . Over the 3M bra I'll use their (3M) clear wax. Stainless steel polish on 19" wheels and any brand of tire dressing on the tires. When I hand wash the car I use Turtle Wax ICE car wash but in truth, most washes are done at my local automated car wash (I know, I know - I'll get swirl marks etc. but in Illinois where winters can be severe there is a lot of road salt used and you have to wash it off frequently and also this type of wash does the undercarriage as well). I'm all ready with my 240 volt 32 amp NEMA 14-50 GFCI outlet and cord hanger in my garage and all I need is the "damn" car! ?

Received my bracket from Craig yesterday and my Chargepoint charger today. Electrician expected this coming week for install. Researched local PPF and ceramic coating services. All seems to be coming together ahead of my 1/4 build date. Looking forward to late-February to mid-March delivery.

Because you should not install the bracket over PPF, I encourage you to have your PPF/ceramic installer install the bracket. They will just cut out a small patch of the PPF under the nose to allow the bracket to go in the right place. That's my plan.

What would be wrong in you mounting bracket where you like it and think it should go and have installer cut around it with a razor? That's the way I thought I'd do it. The bracket would go over the paint and the 3M adhesive would hold it; wouldn't go over the PPF. Any reason you think I shouldn't do it this way?

I plan to ask my dealer to not wash or otherwise modify my car when it arrives and take it straight to the PPF/Ceramic installer. For me to install the bracket I would have to clean the nose where I am attaching it, and attach it, leaving the plate mounting plate in place for them to work around. It seems like it would be easier for the installer to do the whole thing so I don't end up making it harder for them.

Funny you asked your dealer not to polish the car as I did the same thing yesterday. Preparing the site is easy Craig said wash area and let it dry. Prepare the area with adhesive prep liquid. Let that dry and peel off film over adhesive and place plate where you want it (he suggested marking off spot with masking tape). You have to be careful because you get one chance; once it is placed it adheres with an incredibly strong bond. It would therefore be easy for PPF detailer to cut around the small plate. No different than placing PPF on a car without having a template.

PS-the first thing the detailer will do is hand wash your car so unless your dealer has an automated wash I think it’s safe for him to wash off the residue from shipping, tape on it, etc. He wants your car to look nice so I don’t mind a hand wash before I take delivery.
