Do you base your decision on the reviews, price, or quality of the products that you use on your Mach E?

I've been using Griot Garage's products for a couple years now. They perform well and I like their US based (Tacoma WA) and environmentally friendly products. They also have great DIY videos.

I use Chemical Guys and Hybrid solutions mostly because of reviews and product demos. I also took a detailing course from Detail Garage just for yucks.

Although you can get some good information off the internet and from Youtube review videos, you have to be really aware of the credibility of the source. For example, there are some very slick websites that look like legitimate reviews, but they are in fact paid advertisements, sorta like infomercials.

I like and respect ScottHD reviews of various products. He clearly states that he does NOT accept payments from manufacturers:

I choose products that 1) do what they claim and do it well 2) are pleasing to work with and 3) are decent values. I also like to buy small bottles of different products and base my decision on my own actual experience.

Some of my personal favorites:

Carnauba Wax - Collinite 845 or 915

Ceramic Coating - Gyeon Cancoat Evo or Pure Evo

Ceramic Spray Sealant - Griots Garage Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax

Auto All Purpose Cleaner - Optimum PowerClean

Rinseless Wash - Either Optimum No Rinse or P and S Absolute

Ceramic Topper - Xtreme Solutions Topper

Drying Towel - Rag Company The Gauntlet

Ceramic Detail Spray - Technicians Choice Ceramic Detail Spray

I base my decisions on if it’s easy it “probably” won’t last. Took me 2 days of prep and a day of application of CQuartz. Did this 18 months ago and it’s still there on my DAILY driver. But I do take care of it. I went with Carpro because its a professional coating with great reviews.
