What does “canceled” mean in the world of BlueCruise?s

Sometimes when I’m driving in semi-BlueCruise, the mode where the car icon is surrounded by a pear-shaped outline and there’s a hands-on-the-wheel symbol, I’ll get a message that says “canceled” for no obvious reason. But a few seconds later, it’s back the way it was. During that period ACC is still functioning, so it’s not clear what has been canceled.

What causes this? Is it me?

So is the result that ACC is on and LK is off? That would make sense if it’s having trouble seeing the lane lines. If so, “Lane-keeping suspended” would be a lot clearer.
