What Happens if You Shift to Park While Driving?

Almost everyone has probably done it once. Mine is still fine and I used to do it all the dang time.

Thank you all for making me (and my normally anxious mind) feel much better. Can go back to enjoying the car and not be looking for something wrong

If you’re going fast enough park shouldn’t engage.

Slow enough and it will engage & rock car back & forth - tried that!! Shouldn’t cause damage or car wouldn’t let you do that by design.

Shouldn’t be able to engage inappropriate gear position beyond certain limits.

Had a case where somebody made a false claim that car was faulty by design or something resulting in transmission failure when transmission was able to be put in reverse while travelling at speed; I video recorded driving at speeds up to 80mph while selecting reverse and park - nothing happened, thank F!

Low gear is "L" I believe, so no issue.

This really goes to show how unacceptable it is for people to let their dogs drive. Time and time again we see that dogs have zero ability to drive safely, although apparently better than cats.

I give her a little Simpsons one, seems to work.
Now if I can figure how to lock her out of radio presets.
