My issue with Google/Android Auto is that, just as in search, they will become a de facto monopoly and harvest a ton of user data, usually without knowledge or consent, integrating that with even more user data gathered without knowledge or consent, leading to a massive, unregulated form of commercial surveillance. At least in a marketplace with multiple competitors, this activity would be naturally fragment these user “data lakes” into “data ponds”. And yes, I know there’s a loud group who will tell me to just go sit in a corner with my tinfoil hat on. Just because we’ve allowed bad behavior in the past doesn’t mean we should continue to condone it ?

Do you think the MME cpu will be powerful enough to run android automotive correctly?

Probably? But I have zero expectation that we'll see SYNC 4A replaced with Android Automotive on current vehicles.
