When will bluecruise be hands free?

Once we finally found a dealer who could perform blue cruise software update, we did not see much difference between adaptive cruise control and BC.

Blue Cruise is hands free on certain roads pre-mapped by Ford, as I understand. You set it by pressing the big button on the left side of the steering wheel. You will know it is on because the instrument screen turns blue. If it is not on, adaptive cruise control will work and you will have to keep your hands on the wheel or steer.

A few things. To be hands free you need to be on a pre-approved highway, you need to have lane keeping with hands free turned on in the settings, you have to have the lane keeping system active (button on the steering wheel), and you have to have cruise control active.

You will know it’s working when the instrument panel screen turns blue.
