Where and when are new fast chargers coming to New England??

What are the plans (public and private) for installing DC fast chargers in the New England states??

I really want to know about New Hampshire. I can’t go there and come back beyond very southern NH. They need chargers all along I93 and route 16.

Maine needs them too.

There are just lots of places I cannot go with my Mach E.

For Vermont, I found this document about chargers that are coming! Seventeen new stations!!

You can go to many of the DC charging sites and see future installations. EA shows none pending in either NH or ME.

PlugShare also lets you do this. I see no new stations pending in either state.

A simple Google search for "new DC charging New Hampshire" yields a 3 year old map - https://www.nh.gov/osi/energy/programs/documents/dcfc-map.pdf And this - https://newhampshirebulletin.com/20...-roadblock-ahead-a-lack-of-charging-stations/ Looks like $3 million was released in Sept 2021 to build stations along 9 corridors in NH.

I'm sure doing a search on Maine would yield similar results.

Agreed on needing more chargers. When I was in Kittery a month ago, the EA was completely full with one car waiting for me to to leave. One of the four stations was out of service because it was hit by either a car or snowplow, not sure if it’s been repaired yet. I mean how does that even happen?

It has been repaired. Was there last week and all 4 were up and running.

I did see this article from a year and a half ago (https://www.nhbr.com/new-hampshire-remains-a-laggard-in-building-ev-charging-station-network/). The charging corridor plan is a good idea for a first step. I believe they've been talking about that since 2018. NH has been very slow to move on this.

I found this document from 12/30/2020 and it shows where NH's VW settlement funds have gone. Almost all of them have gone to replace trucks with new trucks (frustratingly diesel for diesel).

There is only line item for DCFC.

Good news...I found the page for NH's VW Mitigation Trust: https://www.des.nh.gov/business-and-community/loans-and-grants/volkswagen-mitigation-trust

It looks like the second attempted RFP closed 2/25/2022 and they updated the web site 4/6/2022. They had 30 application packets covering 35 sites. They are going through the scoring phase now!

Sadly that is still the state of the site today when I visited. I am wondering if long lead times are delaying DC Fast Charger deliveries like a lot of other products.

I noticed a Volta 50kW coming online at the Tanger Outlets in Tilton on Plugshare.

There is also a former Shell Recharge 50kW at the Rodger's Motel & Campground in Lancaster, NH. It is only open during the day during camping season since you need to borrow a fob from the campground store.

It appears I-91 will get DC Fast Chargers up to the Canadian border before I-93.

This will be useful for my trips up I-95 to New Brunswick. Irving has opened Chargepoint 62.5kW (125kW ganged) Fast Changers at their service stations in Newport, ME and Bangor, ME.
