I'm a little surprised that the Walmart there in Kingman doesn't have an EA CCS--around here many of the Walmarts have EA CCS' and they seem to be popping up more and more at Walmart.

Who isn't up for an adventure? You're going to Vegas anyway! LOL
Same here. That's the exact location I submitted to EA using their suggestion form.

Southwest Nebraska. Pretty much anything South of North Platte off I-80 is desolate.

Nebraska and Kansas are devoid of chargers. Shockingly, Oklahoma is chock-a-block full of 200kW stations all over the state.

Throw a Neb wind in the mix and you are gambling if you can make it to Colorado on a standard battery.

There appears to be a local state provider. Wonder how the service is.

Their website says.

"In Oklahoma, you are never more than fifty miles from a direct current fast charging EV charging station."

Go up to Flagstaff first. Then drive REALLY slow. LOL.
A little safer bet would be getting a cheap room in Laughlin each way. A few casinos have L2 chargers there. But it's still 228 miles from Laughlin to Phoenix. Not a lot of room for error.

The way ABRP shows me, it's either an 8 Hour trip by using a combo of L2/L3 chargers, or it's a 7 Hour trip with just L3, but I can't go more than 50 mph.

I could never do that... a mustang driving 25 mph under the speed limit!?

BTW, in my ICE car I could probably do it in 6 hours.

Most of my longer trips are venturing out to the national parks, or visiting friends in Las Vegas, can I reach most of the them in the mach-e pretty much, driving the scenic route through death valley however looks a little tricky.

However for me the question is not rather could I but rather would I and at present it is a big fat resounding no :( A lot of the time you will be highway speeds so kiss your range good bye and at some points it will require charging to 100% to reach the next charger. I'm sure there will be hoards of you tubers and social media darlings itching to document and comment on such long journeys, but until I can do the journey in the same time I have little interest in it taking twice the length of time.

I do however look forward to improvements in battery tech and thanks to the modular nature of the mach-e maybe in 5 years time we can take advantage of better battery tech and swap our existing battery for something better and I can finally do those journeys in mach-e :)

Either we get charging time down to the same time as for ICE or we increase battery density to the point that no body will care that it takes a couple of hours to charge when you end up getting 800 miles of range.

Yep. I'd leave the Mach-e in the garage and take an ICE. Google Maps shows it in 4:49. At 301 miles, don't even need to stop to refuel along the way. Leave home at 10am and roll into Vegas at 3pm (actually 2pm if it's the time of the year where AZ is an hour later).

You could always go like this:
Ford Mustang Mach-E Where do you want to drive but the charging infrastructure isn't available yet? boltreadyletsgo

Granted I don't think any variant of the Mach-E will be able to be towed like this (and I keep waffling on the Mach-E for that reason--its been so nice bringing the Bolt along and charging up in the campgrounds).

Granted #2: You'll burn more gas than if you just drove an ICE car LOL--but it wouldn't be as much fun..

Vermont, New Hampshire & Maine have a grand total of 4 EA stations, all clustered in the far southeast between Manchester, NH and Portland, ME. If you go too far north and don't save charge to get back, you are SOL.

Central New Hampshire, specifically StoryLand. Wanted to drive up there from Massachusetts with my SR AWD. I can make it there, but I’d need to charge before I made it back. The only fast chargers are way out of the way. With a temperamental toddler in the car that’s not exactly appealing.

I don’t really road trip much, but I would like to see something at Sonoma Raceway for track days. LOL

Hawaii. although I suppose it's appropriate to point out the bigger issue is the lack of a bridge.
