Better get more charging stations in California also. Who wants to wait hours to charge a car.
Holy Crapoli! That would be bad for a gas line (at 3 minutes per refuel), but just imagine how long those people had to wait at 10-30 minutes per recharge!

Classic example of a bottleneck. When you have an event (in this case Thanksgiving) where you have lots of people leaving all about the same time, you're going to overwhelm any pinch points (in this case, chargers if there's not many but lots of people need them). Similar to trying to take light rail home from a football game where 70,000 people all flood out of the stadium at the same time.

Nope, it's a massive problem. Been talked about here many times. That is the problem with people counting on super chargers stations being ready for mass numbers of EV cars. Again over 80% of people will always charge at home unless a road trip.

That is another reason also that the ID4 250 mile range or 200 mile range at 80% or 180 mile of range with heat or aircon on, Is not enough. ID4 is not made for long trips, but the average working person driving around 150 miles a day. Think about the battery degradation also, or again bigger wheels. Your long range trip of a 250-mile range car vs 300 mile range can add few more stops. Not fun at all.

There is no Frunk also. ID 4 is made to be low entry level ev and I will say for that it's a fine option. But it is no tesla or a mache.

That's referring to existing models though. I think most of the new BEVs will probably be brand new vehicles (like the Mach-E).

Ford building their own isn't the same thing as whether a broader charging network is needed. Just means it doesn't make sense for Ford (or any solo auto manufacturer) to be the one to build it. Particularly when CCS demand will be coming from over a dozen different auto manufacturers, just like gas demand.

Plus, this example isn't exactly a great endorsement for everything working fine when one auto manufacturer decides to build their own network.
