I don't particularly care, it really only matters if you charge to 100% regularly which I never will. If you normally only charge to 80% or 90% go ahead and add 5% right now.

Good point, I am more interested on the charge curve improvements though. On long distance trips, this would be where the time savings happens.

Darren Palmer was on the Inside EV podcast as a guest a few weeks back. He said any improvements would also apply to MME's already on the road.
The great thing with these vehicles is they can get better over time.

I would prefer a better charge curve to 90% to an increased range. I already get 300 miles easy on a charge. 10 miles more isn't much use.

In Alex on Autos new video reviewing the GT, he says all 2021 models will get the bump to the 2022 models battery capacity.

Charge curve, including fast charging above 80% is really the big one here. The range of the car is effectively 80% the advertised range if you can't fast charge above 80%

Kyle from Out of Spec mentions the charging curve will extend to 90%, at least, for the GT/GT PE models. I would think Ford would extend that to all Mach-e's with an OTA update.

Several of the GT reviewers have said that Ford told them that the increased range and better charging curve would be coming to existing MMEs.
