I have a 2021 and I renewed BC in December taking advantage of the ''special'' price for 2021 job .

So still on BC 1.0. During the HVBJB recall, I also had several other updates done for smalls problems. As others have already mentioned to me in other discussions, once the majority of modules have been updated with FDRS, my car have now with many advantages offered in new BC 1.XX.

Changing lanes still doesn't happen by itself. But, for the rest of the driving it's just WOW for improvements. No more Ping Pong effect, almost no more disengagements for no reason, the car really stays more in the middle of the lane... In short, it's really a nice improvement in hands-free driving pleasure.

It remains to be seen when Ford will make it officially accessible to everyone via OTA.

Did you have to pay for the Dealer to do the updates?

No because I'm still under warranty. And all the updates were basically to fix somes problems.

If you request updates just to have BC 1.XX, there is a good chance the dealer will charge you for the service.

my 3 year bluecruise subscription ends in late May of 2025 so it won't update to 1.4 until shortly after that. :crying:
Similar, BC 1.2 expires June 2026.

So far pretty happy with it - just keeps turning off on curves it can't see ahead.

Keeps me alert on long drives.

Mine is a Job 1, of which, I was one of the first deliveries (EARLY Feb 2021), and was one of the first civilians outside of FMC to ride in a MME in Summer 2020. I've seen it all.

The promises came and went. The only tangible improvement I've noticed over the last over 3 years is the addition of dial controls for HVAC and a larger CarPlay screen, and app activated frunk. ZERO BlueCruise improvements, barely any reliability improvements (PaaK still isn't great)... they add things like games and apps that nobody really asked for, but can't give us detailed charging information on the driver's display, a more refined interface, a regen gauge, a trunk/frunk button on the home screen...??? And that's just the basics, not even ATTEMPTING to reach the cadence of Tesla or Rivian, among others.

I get that it may take "some time" to develop these updates. But MORE THAN THREE YEARS IS BLATANTLY UNACCEPTABLE.

@Ford Motor Company SEVERELY dropped the ball on this one, and I will stand by that statement.

I paid the $600 upgrade for BC, but you know what, I don't want to keep this car. Once the 4 years is up, I will be giving it back. I may try that dispute with AMEX, just for shits and giggles.

DON'T DESIGN A CAR AROUND SOFTWARE IF YOU CAN'T NAIL THE SOFTWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have bad news for you all... these cars are going to be duds very soon. Development will stop entirely, if it hasn't already. Not only are they about to implement Google based Sync5, which I can bet my bottom dollar our car's will NOT be able to support, but the rumormill is that Tesla FSD may be licensed to Ford first. Something tells me that BlueCruise development may be on the chopping block anyways.

Summer arrives on June 20th, a mere 58 days from now. BC update was announced for summer 2023. Summer came and went, fall came and went, winter came and went. Spring is now here.
Having been in this forum longer than I have (July 2021), you know the answer to that already. BC updates have been a shit show from the start and the fact that they're charging ridiculous prices for a beta test is just killing the BC mood for anyone locked into an $800/year subscription. I couldn't even bring myself to pull the trigger on the $600/3 year sub.

As of now, it's disheartening seeing how we as owners feel about Ford's ability to get this done SOON...
They be on it like white on rice...wait wait did I say that out loud?

I was such a huge @Ford Motor Company fan and repeatedly chose to give my money to Ford over and over and over and over again! No more! Im no longer going to do that after my 3 year bluecruise subscription. Im going to sell my mach-e and probably get a Rivian. My wife has a tesla and it gets new features and updates constantly. I used to defend my Mach-e to her and her family, I cant even attempt to do that anymore.

PAAK doesn't work at all for me anymore. I have to hit unlock in FP5. I feel dumb for paying for BC every time I turn it on. I have to turn it off so much or keep my hands on the wheel for disengagements.

The software is very basic and lacking features such as regen meter in the ipc for everyone???? Thats important info that everyone should have! I dont see how it only matters to GT's. We cant see the charge rate and other pertinent info in the ipc while charging. FP5 is constantly telling me the wrong time to charge, by hours.

The software is still very laggy and the fact that theres so many OTA delays tells me Ford isnt really invested in software yet. They should be hiring top talent but cant compete! Theres so many bugs and looks like lack of testing internally.

I know for sure my next car will definitely not be a Ford, unfortunately. Its been a bumpy ride. Just waiting for my BC subscription to end.

Sorry you’re having all these issues.

But may god watch over you if you ever get a Rivian. If you want a hassle-free, patience-free, and relatively affordable EV ownership, I think Tesla is a better option to go with even if it doesn’t have reverse traffic sensing radar, front parking sensors, and a 360 camera.

You WILL regret buying a Rivian if you regretted buying a Ford is my firm opinion.

With 206 votes, 89% of us feel that the update won't happen this spring. Sad.

I didn’t vote since it doesn’t impact me. ??

I’m still on board for Ford releasing before the end of Spring of 2124. ??

Basically have the same car as you & recently had all modules updated & recalls done. Have BC 1.1 & no improvements to lane centering & no lane changing (never had any ping pong or dropouts). Since lane changing was accomplished in 1.2+ I would think that until that feature is available we will be stuck with no BC improvements.

We've owned 2 Teslas with 2 FSD subscriptions. How many horror stories and near accidents would you like to hear about?

Yes please! (Seriously, I’d like to hear some real-world experiences, not Tesla fanboi YouTube videos)
