Did most of last winter on the Pirelli OEM tires on my GTPE in Minnesota which was a mistake, only got little over 17000 miles, cracked all up and very dangerous. Put on a set of Continental extreme contact dws 06 plus based on someone's recommendation and what a difference, have passed a lot of 4wd pickups on our glazed over roads here lately, feels very stable. Doesn't seem like I lost a lot of range, but I'm sure I will. Worth the security.
