Hi all. We took delivery of a Mach E GT in June. We ordered an AWD Extended range that should have been arriving in January '23 but the dealer called us when another customer cancelled their order once their GT was already in Antwerp and asked if we wanted to move quick and grab it while it was available. We went ahead and bought the GT but now I'm wondering what people are doing about running a car on summer bias tyres in the winter. It's at Ford today for the recall and the service guys at our dealer say Ford has no approved fitment for winter or all season tyres for the GT. Has anyone else decided to run some more winter bias tyres or are most people just going on the hope the UK winters are rarely below 7C or snowing and hoping the standard GT tyres will get them through? Anyone know if it will cause issues with warranty if you run tyres not 'approved' by Ford for the vehicle? I've never cared what the manufacturer thought of the tyres on my car before but this is our first brand new vehicle and a very costly one at that so don't want to do anything that could put the warranty cover of the drive train at risk.

In the US I am running Pirelli Winter tires in the factory 245/45R20 size. I think that the dealer gave you the wrong info about there being no provision for an all season or winter tire. The US base GTs come with All Seasons.

We don't have GT and GT PE here, only GT so all of them got the performance tyres I believe in the UK.

Yes, aware of that. But, like Canada, Norway, Sweden, etc., the vehicles are the same regardless of the GT trim level because they are all made in Mexico (other than chinese vehicles) at the same factory and shipped. So the UK vehicles are very capable of running winter or all season tires was my point like both GT trims in the US are. Just stick with the same tire size if you have a concern.
