Bummer.
I find the Hands-Free aspect of BlueCruise on long road trips to be fantastic, but I can't imagine paying $800/year or $75/mo for it.

Notice the annual or monthly options for BlueCruise. And also, Ford is watching the market to see our feedback. So, what do you think?
interesting pricing. i am not near many BlueCruise mapped highways so $800/yr is not going to interest me. if the $75/mo option is a turn on/off option as needed i might do it on long road trips.

my guess is a low take rate unless lower they drop it nearer to $600-700/yr.

None of what's in the OP seems to address the pricing for a renewal on a 2021 or 2022 Mustang. I don't need to worry about it yet, but hopefully Ford will get the answer that few enough people want to pay that much and I can get mine renewed for much less when the time comes.

I keep my hands on the wheel, but the reduced stress I feel at the end of a long road is significant compared with driving without HFBC. But, it's not worth more than about $100/yr to me.

I would do $10/month. I don't use it nearly often enough to justify $75/month...

I did purchase the hardware and 3yr subscription on my '22 GT and the price made sense given that it was described as including hardware.

Not to mention paying for the privilege of subsidizing their software updates that are only applied to newer model years (looking at you blue cruise 1.2).

When i first saw the price in posts i thought that $1900 to $2100 increase was for the blue cruise equipment to added upon ordering (ie for a select model) Not the subscription rate. This makes it look like the sub rate and I would be out. Im work from home and only take a few road trips a year but none that I would “need” BC for. I turn it on now and then now when i go out as a neat trick, but I wouldnt pay that much for it. $600 for 3 years was the rate when we first bought our cars.

I thought that if you had a 21/22 you could get the 3 year for 600, which was still a stretch to me. I thought it was close to worth that, maybe a little less, but 700 a year? Um, no.
Absolutely agree. I have a 2022 and BlueCruise for three years was included. When I bought the car last December, the dealer told me future subscriptions were $200/year but you had to sign up for three years at a time. So this matches what you heard. I have used hands-free a few times and I think I'd probably renew it at $200/year. But, it certainty isn't worth $800/year just to take your hands off the wheel on mapped highways, especially since I only have BC 1.0. Remember, you still get lane keeping and adaptive cruise control w/o BC, you just have to keep your hands on the wheel. Ford isn't going to win customers by doing things like tis ... I'm told one thing in December and they quadruple the price 4 months later.

Thanks for posting this about 23 pricing. Like @BigMach-E says "I thought that if you had a 21/22 you could get the 3 year for 600, which was still a stretch to me. I thought it was close to worth that, maybe a little less, but 700 a year? Um, no."

Maybe a poll so FoMoCo can see our feedback?
