About 20%, by end of 2024. Gets fed money.

This is going to be a $!htshow in my opinion.

90% of Tesla owners are pretentious/entitled around J1772 EVSEs as it is. Guarantee they will take the "magic dock" chargers first to block them from CCS vehicles, and/or pull other shenanigans.

Ordinarily I would suggest that the actual timelines would be delayed by at least 3 years like everything else Musk says, but since there's billions of dollars of free money from the Fed this might actually happen in the purported timeframe.

Funny how my post keeps getting edited, I assume by the admin... The last thing I'd put in my post would be a link to Twitter.

So many details unknown at this point. Like will they be retrofitting most existing stations with some, or will these be mostly at new stations as part of their "double the size of the network"? Huge difference.

Pricing too. And layout for cable reach to the "wrong side of the car".

Another article mentioned Magic Docks will be how they'll do it, but that sounded kinda like speculation. Hoping they just design a new charger with a long CCS cable.

And there it is, the negative ragging on Tesla owners right off the bat before even giving something a chance to see if it works. By having that attitude you are actually perpetuating an attitude about something that may or not come to fruition as you describe.

Will be interesting to see how this works and where the DC Fast charging network status is by 2024.

20% of chargers when the average station has 10
If you read the article, it's not clear how many will be at existing locations and new. One would expect that if Tesla is adding a lot of new locations by the end of 2024, they'll have CCS there vs. modifying existing locations.

Based on what, personal antidotal evidence, sorry, that's just a personal prejudice, like they say, feelings aren't facts. Often times we get what we give, I personally know many many Tesla owners who are some of the best people you want to meet, but, hey, thats just me.

Yep. It does say "new and existing stations", but it seems likely that the emphasis will be more on new than existing. At least for a while. The whole roll-out will take years, so I suppose we'll be in watch mode just like we are for EA and the others as they gradually get added and/or retrofitted.

We surely won't be able to just see "Tesla Supercharger" on the map and assume they have CCS. At least for some time.
