Hmmm.... I sense something has changed in the auto accident insurance game.

The 2023 was completely drivable when judged "totaled". Maybe not legally due to the passenger's spiderwebbed window and busted mirror, but still drivable.

Very true. Mine looked like a golf ball but seemed very salvagable as nothing wrong with the vehicle but all the panels. However it was the salvage value that was too high vs the repair amount.

What changed is crappy resale value along with high repair costs.

I would bet you could total a Mach E when the entire exterior looks perfect.

Just run over something that punctures the battery.

That said, you could total a 70 Mach 1 with less damage than that.
