Hi.
According to the specs on the order of my MME it should have an anti-theft alarm system with interior motion sensors.
According to the owners manual, there should be a special alarm system settings menu under SETTINGS->Vehicle->Alarm System, but no such menu exist.
I wasn't able to locate the motion sensors in the cabin of my car either.
Does anyone else have the same issue?

The EU RWD cars have a basic alarm, the AWD have the US alarm with hellingshoek sensor and interieur sensoren.

Now I'm super annoyed. According to the price list and specs in the order form it should have had all those sensors.

What did you do when buying Insurance? I am asked to indicate what kind of alarm system the car has and I dont know what to pick ? My dealer says it has only class 1. And one insurance company says that only if class 3 is there they will insure it

No security

Class 1 (immobilizer)

Class 2 (immobilizer, intrusion detection and an alarm)

Class 3 (Class 2 + Tamper + Slope Detection)

Class 4 (Class 1, 2 or 3 with vehicle tracking system)

Class 5 (Class 3 with vehicle tracking system activated by an alarm)

I was lucky, my insurance didn't ask anything about the alarm.
I would say that RWD MME definitely has class 2 alarm, because alarm goes off when doors are opened from inside when alarm is armed. One could argue, that it also has vehicle tracking, because you can see the cars location in FordPass. A view days ago SecuriAlert became also available in FordPass.

There are 3 options, Allianz, InShared, Univé...all others want a higher class...
