The dealer I am getting my First Edition from has needed me to push him a little to get info. what he's come back to me with has been bad info that I already knew was bad info from these boards.

He shared this with me on September 1 and I'm not sure just how accurate the info might be:
"I just received an update on our first stock Mach-E...being built week of December 14 and arriving here in January.
Ford is producing a few stock vehicles before assigning build dates for Sold Orders (Retails) to ensure maximum
build-quality for the Retails.

We are estimating the first Retail orders would arrive during the Spring of 2021."

This refers to "stock" vehicle which I think would not include the First Editions. Also, this contradicts what has been reported earlier that production begins in October. So, I'll continue to follow what you folks find and educate my car dealer.

Your FE reservation number is below 4,300, right? Meaning you reserved during or immediately after the global debut?

There's no way I believe your dealer on this one.

Now that being said, I did see today that a Ford employee has ordered a Mach-E as his company car, and he has now secured his build date -- via an internal Ford system. This is bypassing the external web site (and dealers) that the rest of us use, so the workflow is a bit different. He confirmed it is a regular production vehicle, not some tester or prototype.

To me, this means they've cleared enough prepro hurdles that they are able to now schedule production and share dates.

I hope it's not too much longer now before the rest of us begin to see build dates. The waiting is so hard! ;)

So by retail, I assume that means the customer sees a stock unit on the lot and orders it, they can expect it spring of next year. Seems about right given they probably will not be able to order until December or January, and also will not have a reservation to bump to the start of a production run.

Makes sense. My poor dealer is far behind the 8 ball on this one. He knows I have an FE, but I don't think he understands what that means. Sigh.

My number was under 4400 for the FE on November 18, 2019.

I’m guessing what your dealer is calling “stock” are their FCTP demo vehicles. However, our intel here says those are coming sooner than your dealer thinks.

They're planning on 7 to 10 thousand cars built this year according to this post:
Ok long drawn out talking.
(The good) Cuautitlan Stamping and Assembly Plant in Mexico. has been back to 100% efficiency since the 2nd week of August. The 10 weeks lost to covid-19 have been made back up at the plant and not behind.
(The bad) Not all suppliers have been able to catch back up. So the lost time has been narrowed down to about 12 different suppliers not being able to make up the 10 weeks lost.

Quality is at 93.4% rate at the end of the line. An increase of 5.7% from last month. The target rate has still not been met, which is 98.5%.

Suppliers will be the final determination this year on vehicle output. Suppliers are having a hard time with workers coming back to work due to covid-19. Some auto manufacturing companies are cutting production by 40% for the rest of this year and the start of next year.

Demand for the premium Mache is triple what was forecasted compared to the select. Some suppliers have had to open other buildings and hire double the workforce to meet the already demanding demand. Euro demand for EV markets is exploding at a rapid pace.

Dealers are to be held more accountable. Specialist within each dealership for the EV market. If levels are not meet that ford dealer could lose its right to sell EV models. The same goes for the repair side of the EV market.

Ford is working now on a way to extend the life of the EV market. The goal is to cut the cost of install of a new battery at the end of a life cycle of an old one by half.

Some more talk about gm, and Nikola, and honda. Talk why there is no need for a battery plant again, the EV tech and battery tech is moving at a breakneck pace right now.

Each week Mache info will be coming out to the public as quickly as they can finalize it. I asked about seeing the manual for the mache, and the response was eta date middle of November.

Depending on supply and not having no issues product output for this year between 7,000 to 10,000 units made. How many that will make it to the dealer still depending on transit and logistics.

Almost forgot they announced that by 2022 The charging network with 12,000 stations “FordPass Charging Network will be around 25,000.

The goal within the EV market is to make a vehicle that is cost-effective and can have a true range of up to 400 miles. The tech is there to be able to do it, but not the cost yet.

That should include a bit more than 2,000 FCTP cars though. So maybe 5,000 to 8,000 current customer cars. Offhand I'd suspect you get your car very early next year or maybe even this year.
