Guess what message showed up in my FordPass messages today? No, it wasn’t the long-awaited remote frunk release announcement. It was a message proudly announcing Lights and Horn in FordPass. Something I’ve had for well over a year and something they already sent me the same message about at the time they enabled it. Oh, and silly gooses that they are, they immediately followed it up with a message “Tell us how you feel about FordPass”, which took me to a very short survey. Anyone care to guess what my response in the text field was? ?

I just received the same...

I'm a Job 1 and I'm still waiting for the chance to try Blue Cruise. Have a business road trip coming up soon and it would be nice to give it a try.

Your dealer can install BlueCruise for you if you haven’t received it yet. It’s likely that there’s something “stuck” that will be resolved by having modules updated and codes cleared. You can reach out to one of the people on the board and provide them your VIN and they can confirm.
BTW, I’m an early job 1 and very well known around here for whining that ford hasn’t yet enabled the remote frunk release for us ?

OTAs should be the way. I received the 2.7s by July 1, before the assumed slow-down when the conductor issue was at the forefront.

When my MME was in for body work at Dealer 1, it waited 3.5 days before they touched it and the car was out-of-service for 6 weeks total. When it was at Dealer 2 for for the glass recalls and the conductor service it took them 2 days to touch the car and only 1/2 to complete the work for a total of 3 days out-of-service.

I don't trust the dealers with my valuable time.

I agree that OTAs should be the way, but Ford is still experiencing some teething issues. I’d still encourage you to have one of the kind folks here check your VIN. I’d also encourage you to find a dealer that you’re comfortable with so that if/when you get hit with the HVBJB issue, you’ll have somewhere to turn. I see you’re in the suburban DC area. I know others have recommendations for good dealers in that area.

I got the HVBJB fix when getting the glass done so that shouldn't be an issue.

But, for me to go to the dealer and leave my car for a day (or into a second?) for a manual BC update also inconveniences the person who shuttles me.

I received the requisite OTAs for BC plus the HVBJB "hot-fix" OTA after those so I don't believe I'm 'stuck' like some others got stuck receiving on lower # OTAs. Other Job 1s successfully received BC via OTA. This is not 'teething issue' IMO but resource capacity and prioritization (or not) at Ford.
