Ford Pass App Changes

Hi everyone. My apologies if this has already been discussed. But recently I noticed a few changes to the Ford Pass App. I have the 5.4.0 version. Recently I use to be able to turn my Mach E on and off from the app, and I could open or close the windows. Those features aren't available anymore.

Has anyone experienced the same? How can I get those features back?

It's gotten me into a little trouble at times, but I can't resist. Buttons scream at me to........... Well, curiosity/cat? ?

Yes it has gotten more complicated than it used to be. For example it took me a while to figure out how to find the vin number but now I got that down. Finding the odometer reading I cannot seem to find but the one thing that I really miss is trip planning. It was SUPPOSED to be able to plan your trip then save it in your car but that function is gone. The only other thing that makes me mad is I would like to choose exactly which brands of chargers I want to use but that is not possible. EA is the #1 choice and they suck. Also if you drive a lot both EVGO and Tesla have memberships that save you money BUTTTTT you have to turn off the blue oval network otherwise you get charged the non membership price. You would think that it would recognize this.

anyway that is all that angers me. I do like finally having a trunk/frunk button.

You found the VIN? I have been poking all the icons and in the account menu but I can't find it. I used the Trip Planning a couple times before to plan out charging stops. Haven't tried recently.

Thank you for the directions. But for me there is no VIN. Services - Vehicle Health - shows Active Alerts, Status (only Tire Pressure is given), and the Odometer mileage.

Any body else knows where they hid the VIN? .Vehicle details like that are vital in case of theft or an MVA.

Click on the vehicle button next to the account button top of main screen. then click vehicle detials, vin is there.

In order to get all the readings and function in PASS do you have to be set up with ”phone as key” aka PAK? Or should you be able to open frunk, see VIN, etc without PAK?

You have to setup PaaK to see some of the controls.

The VIN is also on the "Vehicle Details" tab on the select vehicle screen. You might not have or use this if you only have one FordPass-capable vehicle. I have a Mach E and a Lightning.

Have you used FordPass since the 5.x series was released? It has lots of changes. There are also many different threads about this including this official information release:

You have to setup PaaK to see some of the controls.

Thanks. That helps explain why I don’t see many of the data points since I haven’t enabled PAAK
