Hey Jim, it is not built-in. It's a mini dash cam which is attached to the windshield.

I just got my f17 delivered yesterday. I'm going to try to do an unboxing and install video to add to my travel vlog channel. primary reason I decided to buy the camera was to be able to record front and inside footage at the same time, with the lesser and secondary reason being that I wanted to upgrade to a newer and hopefully better dash cam than I have now. I'm a little intimidated about the hardwire install but I think I can figure it out. Watching some videos now to get an idea and learning the mach e fusebox fuse locations in advance so I know which ones to use.
