Looking for BC1.3 forscan settings - belgium

Hello everybody

apparently I have everything ready from software perspective for bc 1.3 and lane change to be operative, however … I don’t have the menu available in the display to activate these options. With the help of @rugedraw I have been able to update some settings using forscan and then, parameters and button appeared , however as the settings applied are taken from a U.S. car, even if I have the button, when trying the lane change it get cancelled every time I tried.

I am thus looking for community’s help and see if someone that has a 2023 mach-e AND is driving either in Belgium, France or Germany able to share his VIN with me for comparing which settings need to be updated on mine.

I’m still searching and even at multiple dealers I went to, thanks to the incredible patience of @rugedraw i have the bluecruise working fine BUT

- it only engage if the lane change assist is not toggled on
- when on blue cruise I can toggle on the lane change assist and then arrow near the bc bubble appears
- if I blink right or left it show the animation and actually move but only 1 out 5 tries, the four others it get cancelled with no reason as no cars on the other lane.
- I’ve tried in all three modes (whisper, normal and unbridle) at 120km/h max


so I you have a mach-e 2023 with extended range and are using BC and are based in EU , if you can share with me VINs by pm for comparing value (especially if you have lane change working)

Does you car have working lane change assist, or just working BC?

It has 1.1E oficilly ctivated the car came with BC already. I have activazed assisted lanechange. ALC does not entierly work correctly though.

Did you had to activate the lane change assist using Forscan or was the option available following an update via FDRS/OTA

as for the lane change assist I understand that the hand has to touch the wheel (in Europe) for the move to happens. Don’t know if it’s regulation based or a missing option to activate

I saw your post in the MMe spreadsheet. So it’s regulation based , try to touch the wheel when hitting the blinkers and it will move all time. It took me some time to figure out.
‘my only concern now is that the blue cruise do not activate on its own if the lane change assist is enabled, have first to de activate it then blue cruise engage and then I activate and it work

yes i can confirm that if u give a little impulse it will initize the lane change with animation with no problem. But the steeringwheel motor has not anough torque to do it it self.

This is what his car shows in the IPMA in the lines relevant to BC:

His IPMA is on the same BAE strategy that US vehicles with BC 1.3 have.

MAKE SURE YOU MAKE BACK UPS BEFORE YOU TRY ANYTHING. There is no guarantee changing your values to this will work, but if you want to FAAFO, here you go.

Yes, I was speaking to someone else in Europe that I recommended a 7 there too based on some other things I saw.

There are certain bits in the PSCM that are relevant to things that are relevant to BC. I do not know if these things are different in US spec vehicles as opposed to Euro spec vehicles. I can tell you that certain values here need to be correct in order lane change to work so I included that there for whoever wants to test things to be able to test them. The spreadsheet for the F150 PSCM shows some more details that the Mach E spreadsheet does not and they seem to have the same architecture.

Again: If you are going to test anything here, make sure you make a back-up first.
