Recently tried to get recall done. New part is on backorder - no date given to me by dealer. They said that if the HVBJB goes bad, there are re-manufactured parts available to keep it running, but that the recall requires new parts only and they are not available right now.
Steve, I agree with your points and am in the same situation (except SCE).
While CA fuel prices are high, so are electricity rates, so I'm not sure the savings comparison to the rest of the country is really the difference.

I much prefer the 101 (I'm in Ventura County, so the 5 is not the best choice) and am usually going to the Santa Cruz area.
Better scenery (pretty low bar to be prettier than the 5) and decent DC Fast charging choices!
Used the free gift TripleCare plan provided by Ford today (I think for being an EAP member).
Simple - called the Ford coverage 800#; they sent me a link to the 3rd party insurance provider; uploaded the photo and info to their website; got a call from the local provider and he fixed it the same...
I used Ethos Graphene (little bottle - prepared and applied myself) over 2 years ago and still going strong. I use their Resist spray about every 6 months (takes about 15 minutes to apply). Looks shiny like new and still beads like crazy.
PAAK worked great for me until I just changed phones from a Samsung S20FE to a Google Pixel 7.
PAAK worked for a day or so and then died. Deleted the phone's PAAK and tried to re-load. Can't get it to reload at all . . . .
I've had good luck at Vista Ford in Woodland Hills. Make an appt far in advance though, as they do get booked up. Roof recall and a couple of maintenance trips.
