For few month i had a persistent bug, real annoying, speaker volume from Carplay sources was super low - compared to built in radio. could barely hear podcasts or youtube, but radio was loud adn normal.
(nothing seemed to work: Sync reboot, disconnect bluetooth, reboot phone, put car to sleep...
there is a big thread: "Post here if you have an active FDRS account and are willing to look up info for others" you can put your VIN there and usually someone with FDRS will respond
i ordered a new module
LJ8Z-18B849-B Amplifier $363.13
from nearby Ford Dealer, but seems it might be on backorder. (had some bad experience with national distributors recently) will call the shop monday about timing.
Update with more physical hard diagnostic.
(what a hassle to get the trim off to access the module)
i checked the harness pins 1& 2 for the DSP audio module with multimeter in right hand trunk. both show 13.5V to ground. (car powered up in accessory mode). quite convinced my module is bad. :-(...
just got OBDlink EX and ForScan connected Code: DSP U3003:16-0A (Circuit Voltage Below Threshold).
reading the live VPWR_DSP (Module supply voltage) = 6.7V (when car powered up ~7.9-8.0V) that seems like a very odd voltage to report?
reading the BMS voltage its above 13... that seems to make...

i have no sound , was hoping a new battery and factory Sync reset would resolve...
my dealer quoted me 370,- for 12V battery change, i got one on Rock Auto for ~100+core,-. then they looked annoyed when i brought it in for FDRS updates.
Loosing faith and trust in my dealer. continues audio drop out, '0' volume stuck problems.
could someone check update status on my 21 MME AWD LR. focus on DSP/ ACM
