Do you have a link for this? I have a 2015 C-Max Energi with Sync 2 (i.e. the year before it supported Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), and would consider updating if it's easy and affordable. Thanks. {Jonathan}
For me, the real issue is the frunk lid, which (unlike an ICE car) doesn't get warm when the car runs, so any ice and snow on it must be scraped off, risking the finish on the car. The rest of the car, including the windshield, can get heat from inside (while turned on and plugged into an EVSE...
Yeah, I was seriously bummed this year; I couldn't make the official Saturday Ford event, and ended up having a family commitment that kept me from attending EE at all on Sunday. Well, there's always next year, right? :( {Jonathan}
Update: part came in, dealership replaced it free of charge (no pun intended), and delivered my car to my home this a.m. (It also needed a tire repair after I got a slow puncture the other day; also covered free of charge under my tire/wheel warranty or general warranty, I'm not sure.) {Jonathan}
Yup. This happened to me over the past weekend. My Mach-E was going in coincidentally today for its 10k mile tire rotation and annual inspection, so I asked them to look at the issue. I'm told they've ordered the part, and the fix will be covered under warranty once the part arrives. Meanwhile...
Ford didn't even show up to last year's Electrify Expo. I will be attending again this year on Sunday, including manning the Drive Electric Long Island table for some of the day. Maybe we can do a pre-opening cars and coffee with or without Ford? {Jonathan}
It was exactly 1 year ago today that, after 9 months from my initial order, 5 months from first going into production, and 3 weeks of sitting in "stop sale" hold for a software "fix" to the HVBJB issue, I finally got to pick up my 2022 Mustang Mach-E GT in beautiful Rapid Red from John Berto at...
I never even had to deal with the small wiper, because I'd read about it here, and already had a larger blade ready when my Mach-E came! Thanks! {Jonathan}
I've just posted the third episode on my YouTube channel, Mach-E(zor)GT, where I discuss the 5 biggest annoyances of my Mach-E after nearly a year of ownership, including lack of physical controls for frunk and trunk, the "chip shortage" that kept me from having a kick-to-open tailgate (and why...
Motor Trnd Mythbusters tested this. Heater used more energy on a Mach-E than the baseline for the same course, but A/C did NOT. See https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxV9WYTPAtY2vjgVRDbL52zGxtLVXdCAS8
Thanks. That had been my plan, except my wife *really* does not like the smell of rubber or the idea of a tire in the cabin with us, regardless of how useful it would be. Ah well, I'll save money on the spare, keep a patch kit in the car, and hope for the best. {Jonathan}
