I would think you are seeing economy of scale. The number of select trim with no ambient lighting vs the number of premium/gt trims with it is the cost difference.
This, I have two teenage drivers that as everyone knows are unpredictable. In the event I have to go rescue/help/change a tire. I don't want to have to delay to charge up enough to go help. I do however limit my charging to 90% but do plug in every single time I am home.
It really depends on the location and cant really lump them all into a single good or bad. I live equally between two, one is great and the other I would never take any vehicle too.
If they expanded it to the capability that Chevy offers with their Super Cruise then it would be worth it. But since it doesn't work on 75% of my daily commute, it is not worth it at the current pricing structure. I think $20 a month or $200 a year is about right.
I use a mix of both FOB stays in my work bag and PAAK after work, weekends. I did not notice a difference between the two.
Since the update it appears to work flawlessly, one push door opens.
Won’t help in your case. But on my lease I put the tires I wanted on a few months in and kept the OEMs to have mounted before returning. I would rather drive on the ones I prefer than the OEMs I very much disliked. I have a 54k mile lease and would almost certainly have to put tires on anyways.
