I sincerely wish Ford would consider a manual key latch release on the tailgate. When this happened to me the 12v latch release on the frunk also failed. All available updates were installed at the time.
Just like others have said, lane changes are very smooth. It even detected when a driver moved into my target lane as it was initiating the maneuver and aborted it. What I was not expecting is it works in hands-on mode as well.
@Ford Motor Company you turned my smile into a frown (actually more than a frown).
I intentionally did not update my car beyond PowerUp 6.7 because I explicitly did not want all the problems that came with the BC 1.3 updates. Now that you have released the TSB to resolve those issues, I booked...
Waymo's are quite good actually. Once you get past the shock of the initial ride, you become a believer. Our preferred way to get to/from PHX Sky Harbor.
Yes, understood. My car has been frozen in time to avoid the speedo issue. Yes, it was that important to me. The last update it had was 6.7 (by choice). You know, the frunk update. But with the promise of a new TSB and confirmed appointment, I just let 6.8 install.
It's going to be a long...
SanTan Ford is awesome. I called service and explained my story. They agreed to proactively install this for me. Said it might take a day or two to complete.
Yeah but I am still getting the old PowerUp style notification.
Do we know what PowerUp this will show as? I have been holding my car from not updating to 6.8 since this issue was announced. Last week my car, on its own, reenabled automatic updates and dutifully told me it would update with an inhibit at 1:00 am. I naturally disabled updates told it "not...
Like so many rarely come here any longer. Not at all like the early days when there was excitement about something we had never seen in person. Ordered my FE on launch day, took delivery in Feb '21. Still love it. And still denying 6.8 to install.
You missed the entire point of my reply. Managing a 12v battery on the MachE should NOT be necessary, but you may encounter issues. No snark, but it is responses criticizing other members that have caused me to read this forum less and less.
In my opinion, the 12v battery in the MachE is the most under engineered component in the car. Over 16 years I have owned 5 electric or hybrid vehicles with combined mileage over 700,000 miles. All but one have used Li Ion 12 v batteries. Only one of those Li Ions was replaced after 10 years...
I would echo the advice to replace the 12v battery on a '21. Mine failed without notice on a trip to the grocery store this week. Now I am waiting for a body shop repair because the 12v jump to open the frunk failed. Dealer broke into my car and acknowledged they did body damage. They are...
Yeah I tried a Lithium jump pack and the frunk would not open. It hurt to watch my car be dragged onto a flat bed on skates. Don't know what the dealer is going to do to sort this out.
