Thanks, as I said I did look outside my area (which is obviously in the EU, otherwise I wouldn't be looking at Germany).
However, as I explained it's not just a matter of how much the car will cost, but also what the total cost of ownership will be (taxes, insurance etc.). And these don't take...
Can't say I'm not jealous!
I've been dreaming about an i-Pace for about a year now, but it's just too expensive for me and, where I live, there are no deals like the one you got .
I could probably get a heavily discounted one from Germany (I've seen such deals there), but in the long run it...
If they're making $x/hour from an installed slow charger, they could be making $3x/hour from a fast charger (or whatever is the analogy). That is incentive enough, they don't need to be charging more per kWh. After all, the biggest cost for them is usually real estate, not the chargers or power.
Of course, the question wasn't whether Mexico is in North America (geographically), but whether it's "classed" as such in Ford's press release. The former is obvious, the latter not so much.
The "pardon me for being ignorant" part, is exactly because he is a Brit. Not because he is actually...
I don't know guys. When I drove the i-Pace, I don't remember thinking "Oh, the rear window visibility is good/bad/mediocre/whatever". I guess it was more or less like other cars. And I don't see why it should matter much anyway.
As a side note, I think the i-Pace is a fantastic car, I've said...
Anyone knows when the specs will be finalized and if that will happen before orders open?
Mainly talking about performance (final 0-60 numbers etc.), not range.
Personally, I wouldn't be too bothered about the test drive.
If I was one of the lucky ones to get an early delivery, I would be able to sell the car the next day and get exactly what I paid for it (if not more) in case I really didn't like it. Which wouldn't be too probable anyway. Remember...
Not a bad idea but not sure if feasible, since ours is quite small and really packed.
Obviously some kind of shade would be a better solution in general (it would protect the whole car, not just the battery) but if not possible, an outlet might be relatively easy. That's why I wanted to know if...
So if the MME follows the same logic, then for someone parking in the sun for extended periods of time in a really hot summer, it'd be best to find somewhere to plug in?
Unfortunately, our work parking is open air and summers get REALLY hot here. So the car will be parked in the sun for 10...
No, NOT exactly as you said, far from it. But now you're just doing what you previously accused @LYTMCQ of doing.
You said, and I quote, "Yet with EVs now giving comparable ranges on full charges, everyone has range anxiety, which is bonkers.", when everyone knows the above is NOT true in the...
That's not accurate though.
First of all, the estimate the car is showing you is not based on a manufacturer rating, it's based on (real) past data. So yes, if you suddenly decide to switch your driving style or the trip in question is much different than your average, the resulting mpg will...
So I assume you also don't own a smartphone? Or a computer? Or ... (insert any other made in china item here) ...?
Or do you think they can assebmle (not even talking about design, which they also do) top-notch, super high-tech devices like iPhones, but not cars?
Hmm... maybe you are right.
It seems to me that the extrusion had been made bigger in the renderings above, but maybe it's indeed just an illusion caused by the tint.
Where is that coming from? Is it some kind of research/report?
Or your own, personal needs?
I, for one (like @kennelh above), know that I would very much welcome self-driving as an option in my car. I'd still like to manually drive, but not all the time.
Obviously, self-driving would first...
