I’ve learned through this forum that a car is apparently a relatively common job perk in Europe. Based on this, my question to OP would be why he extended the lease at all when the company could have gotten him a new ride last year!
Out of curiosity though, why do you use L when exiting freeways? Why not just press the brake pedal, you get the same result of increased regen?
Personally at least, when I first got the Mach-E, I messed around with using L for occasions like you described, exiting the freeway. But I found it...
I would love to be able to combine the steering feel of Unbridled with the regen level of Engaged, perhaps a future version of the Mach-E will have some custom mode.
I think it must be a traditional Mustang body EV that they will call the Mustang EV. I don’t think the Ranger is iconic enough for this announcement to be about that, and I don’t see Ford bringing a super cheap EV sedan to market when they don’t even sell sedans here anymore.
Unless it’s a huge...
Yes there is some ambiguity there. I understood it to mean it would be revealed in 2026 and, based on that, would be model year 2027.
You may very well be correct, however, I will say the Mach-E is a pretty prominent vehicle as far as the automotive press is concerned and if it really is a...
I think it is the 2027 model year that is supposed to be brand new, or at least a heavy refresh, of the Mach-E.
If the problems with your specific vehicle are solved and you would like another Mach-E and can realistically wait another 1.5 to 2 years, that would probably be the one to go for to...
That sucks, I hope the dealer is able to fix it quickly.
I don't want to be that guy, but a buyback is a risky option with three kids and this being the only vehicle in your household. I hate to say it, but if anyone is going to prioritize reliability in a vehicle purchase, it ought to be the...
I'm surprised you don't like the visors, I find them better than most other vehicles because of the extender that Ford has built into them. They often block sun from off to the side where with other vehicles, I get full sunshine in my face because they do not have the extension capability.
Do you get any sort of error on the days where it doesn't charge, or it's as if the vehicle never even attempted to start charging?
I recall past posts with this issue of charging issues at home about how the charging time was set to a specific location and based on where people parked...
If you have a First Edition and you are certain you have never received an update, you do not have 1.0 because when the Mach-E was first released (handsfree) Blue Cruise was not ready yet. Instead, we had adaptive cruise control with lane centering which more or less was like hands-on Blue...
No I think they all do that, but people would prefer if there was a way to automatically or more easily activate it when first slowing down to for example maneuver into a parking spot.
Can you tell if your brake fluid in failing based on problems with how the vehicle brakes, or is it one of those things where one day performance is normal, the next day there is catastrophic failure?
Because based on if you can tell the fluid is starting to not do its job, I think that would...
I think Mercedes has this option too. Some of their recent vehicles have a rear camera that requires their badge to tilt out of the way for it to activate, and when following some of these newer models, I see the badge moving for the rear camera every time they slow down.
They might not replace it under warranty unless you also have a service plan separate from that warranty. When my 12v battery died during my extended warranty, they said the 12v was a consumable and therefore not covered by the extended warranty.
They may take the same posture with the brake...
I haven’t experienced this yet on the Mach-E, but every older car I’ve ever driven for any length of time with a rear view camera, as it aged, the camera would get glitchy, particularly if you shifted from park to reverse very quickly after turning it on.
Glad the fix will be handled OTA once...
I do feel like one pedal driving does encourage slower driving because the vehicle is constantly trying to decelerate. By contrast, my old Mustang GT has what I would call a strong idle where even without pressing the gas, the car wants to move quickly compared to the idling of other vehicles...
Technically, our mild winters are the type of weather where heat pumps would excel in efficiency when you basically just need a little bit of heat and it's not very cold outside, but I agree in that the added cost, complexity, and loss of frunk space don't justify the installation of a heat pump...
