I'm at the Ford dealership right now getting oil changed in my other car. I notice on their Mach-E they have a small solar panel in dash. They said they do it to trinkle charge it to keep charged. Didn't look like it was plugged into cigarette lighter. Look more like it was plugged in the OBDII...
A good story and good news for our battery

Little off topic but when my connection expired. Which means my navigation expires. What does Ford do? When Navigation expires, it reverts to what came installed from the factory, in this case 3 years ago. So my maps are back to when I bought the car. All the updates I received during the 3...
EU is also starting to pull back on EV and emissions controls. Germany ending these subsidy for EV programs. Sweden and New Zealand have also scrapped their schemes.

Looks like Ford needs to work on their engineering designs and Assembly line.

So if you pay for an extra year and then cancel it will go all the way back to when I bought the car? So the extra year you pay for goes down the drain. Good to know.
Charging again today and working with right day and time.
The only thing I found was the auto time update was turn off.
The other thing my connection has expired. Which also means my navigation will not be updated. Which I have noticed about 2 years ago our town had speed cameras. My car...
I have an appointment with the Doc. He is going to make a house call tomorrow. He said he will get my car back into the future so we will be on the same day.
well for me I pay at home off peak rates .09 and I get 4.4 miles per kwh. So only cost me $2.05 to drive 100 miles. With winter coming it will cost a little more. In winter I think I get 3.2 miles per kwh. I have a 22 select and drive short trips around town. Don't really get on it.
How long after you had recall before Ford app said it was done? Went to the https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls it also still says incomplete. I think I will go by Ford dealership this week. Plus when mobile Ford was here they said my 12v didn't pass his test. Car is still under 3 year warranty so...
But will it now give me a warning or stop the lockout? ICE you can tell when battery is going bad because hard to start. Once that happens I go get another battery. Seem EV just goes bad one day and your stuck where ever you at and have to get tow to have battery replaced. And how they have one...
Ford called me and is going to send out there mobile service to apply the 12v recall updates.
My question to the group after the updated should we still replace the 12v battery every 3 years? To avoid any problem with battery dying without warning. Or should we now get a warning when to...
Hopefully Ford will announce a mechanical door key and a easy access to the 12v battery. Where anyone can quick replace the 12v battery. All made in the USA.
