I haven't had any range issues at all with the spoiler. I'm still averaging 3.5-3.9 depending on what my foot and ego ate doing on certain days. Lol
The height of the spoiler is so minimal that it really has no major affect on wind resistance. The front lip spoiler will cause more downforce...
I'll be doing what you're doing here in September-October. We're coming from South Dakota and heading to Florida, then back.
There's a lot of good info here that people have offered up. I'll go a step further with what we're planning. Granted we are breaking up the trip down to make it feel...
I would consider it if it had some upgrades, whether internal or visual. For now though, I'm just happy being one of the very few Mach-E owners out here in South Dakota, especially in Grabber Blue.
For now though, I'll keep enjoying my 22 and keep watching to see if anything happens in future...
No one said it was a problem and no one said there couldn't be any stops to eat. Everyone has their own concerns about their vehicle and for me, eating food or having a juice or water is not one of them.
I'd envy the day that eating food in the car was one of my biggest concerns.
I used to have a very big no eat or drinking policy for earlier vehicles, with exceptions for road trips where we'd stop at a park and eat type place like a Sonic. But after my wife's cancer bout last year, we eat/drink whenever we need to.
My thought, life is too short to grumble over crumbs...
Had to come back to say a quick hello to everyone. Got my first 1000 miles logged (1609.34 km) today after heading to a local Tesla meet up. Felt weird, but nice, being the unique car in a sea of similar/same vehicles. It was an overall nice meet up. Also did a small mods (rear window louvers...
I figure the adapter will help out a bit while still here in the Midwest and for peace of mind, but hoping like you said, that I won't need it.
All things considered, you guys seem fairly covered by charging networks so I'm pretty stoked to see how things play out.
Considering how many forum members are down there, yeah, that strikes me as odd too.
Glad to hear the trip went well. I hope to have a similar experience because putting approx. 5k miles round-trip on a new car is a new experience for me.
We have that here in South Dakota as well, which is why I got the PPF treatment! Lol Hopefully we'll get some cool days or rain storms to help lessen any "bug swarm" drive through we encounter. I'll make sure to plan some extra cash just for car washes. Lol
Thats good info to have! My preliminary route has me cutting through Orlando since that's near where I have famil, then cut to the east coast, but I was thinking of crossing down through the gulf side to head towards Tampa to scout relocation locations in the hopefully near future.
That's sort of the thought process I had, map out the general route down using a few apps while also knowing the car navigation will be there to help as well, but be mentally prepared to adjust things accordingly.
Hey all,
I'll be doing a cross country drive here in a few months to get a feel for using an EV for road trips and wanted some advice, especially from the Florida owners.
My journey is going to take me from the Midwest, down through central Florida, then down to the Keys, then back home. I am...
Well everything is now completely official. Yesterday was paperwork and a test drive, but due to a former colleague of mine passing away from an injury due to storms that came through the day prior, here in Sioux Falls, I postponed pickup until today because my heart wasn't in the right place...

Paperwork signed. Deal closed. Getting it washed, charged, etc for tomorrow. Took a quick drive around. I'm very happy with it being here officially. I'll post a pic tomorrow when it's picked up officially. Goodnight all.
