Times are changing and Mustang must change to stay relevant and successful. There's plenty of room for a two door sports coup as well as a four door EV cuv.
Fords EV tax credits are dwindling I'd say by the end on 2022 they'll be gone unless congress extends them. I plan on getting my Mach E in 2022 so I'll be keeping my eye on it.

And many potential buyers of the RAV4 Prime in the USA away from the east and west coasts are complaining that their dealerships won't get any RAV4 Prime allocations. It'll be interesting to see if Ford also restricts Mach-E sales to the coasts.)

We have to remember that there aren't very many prototypes around right now and Ford will be send around what they have. Regarded anything you see for now as non production and not what we will be getting when the Mach E finally goes on sale.

Mustang is synonymous with American Muscle, which does not mesh well with the thought of a crossover SUV. It is hard to see the Mach-E as anything...
I agree with you but the sales people are clueless when it comes to the cars they sell. Each dealer participating should at least have two people well versed with the Mach E to provide the proper sales experience and avoid terrible mistakes.
That's not what I'm saying what I am saying is that Tesla has set the expectation and Ford is following suit.
Ford is following the design language being used by a lot of manufactures look at the 2021 Suburban picture I posted.
